Human Resource Intern

Commitment and Working Hours
This is a 6-month full-time internship, with the possibility of extension up to 6 months. You will be expected to be present five days weekly (Monday to Friday). [Full-time, 37.5 hours per week]
Travel
The internship will be based in the Phnom Penh office. All travel costs associated with any assignment to the provinces will be paid by The Asia Foundation.
Internship Objectives
The Foundation is offering HR Internships, which will be managed directly by the Manager- Operations, People, and Culture to support the daily HR administrative-related tasks.
- The selected Interns will support the following:
- Support on regular updating staff matrix list for staff in and out
- Support in preparing documents for staff new employment workbook processing
- Support on filling staff personal files followed by HR file checklist
- Prepare payment for the job advertising company and post the job announcement as requested by the program on various recruitment platforms
- Checking all acknowledgment forms submitted by staff
- Arrange the schedule for the interview process and confirm applicant availability
- Upload all candidate's applications into the HR folder
- Data entry for consultant contact and suppliers
- Assists in checking overall compliance with labor codes and applicable local and state laws
- Arrange booking orientation schedule for the new staff

- Required Qualifications
- The internship should meet the following criteria:
- Fourth-year university students or fresh graduates are preferred which major from Business Administration, Management, or related fields
- Interested in working with INGOs and passionate about development in Cambodia.
- Have good interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrate the willingness to learn new things and new challenges.
- Able to work on various tasks simultaneously, meet deadlines under pressure, and collaborate with various people in a multicultural team.
- Proficient in both English and Khmer (spoken and written).
- Know Ms. Word, Excel, Outlook, and Ms. Office 365.
- Passionate about working in the Human Resources field.
Ponlok Chomnes MEL Program Intern

- Vacation leave: 1.25 days per month or 7.5 days in total for the length of the internship
- Unpaid leave will be applied: if the intern has not accumulated enough leave, then her/his stipend will be deducted based on the hours they take unpaid leave
- Stipend Allowance: USD 300 for a monthly stipend for local transportation (for full-time) or USD 150 for part-time
Working Hour, Duration and Level of Effort

Travel
The Internship will be based in the Phnom Penh office. If travel is required, all travel costs associated with program assignment will be paid by the Asia Foundation for any travel to provinces for programming purposes. Ponlok Chomnes Program foresees very little to no travelling during the internship course.
Internship Objectives
This internship offers the intern the unique opportunity to support the Ponlok Chomnes Program Team in monitoring, evaluation, and learning’s (MEL) related tasks.
Tasks: The MEL Intern will assist the Ponlok Chomnes team, particularly the Knowledge and Learning Manager, in the following areas:
- Assist in Data Collection and Research Support for Program’s MEL and Reporting:
- Support the MEL and program teams in integrating new data points into ongoing monitoring activities, ensuring alignment with program goals.
- Assist in conducting background research and collecting relevant data to support program monitoring, evaluation, learning, and reporting.
- Assist in the Implementation of Capacity Building Training for PCII Team and Partners:
- Assist in the development and delivery of MEL-related capacity building activities for the PCII team and partners.
- Provide support in organizing training/orientation sessions to strengthen the MEL capabilities of staff and partners.
- Help create training materials and document key lessons from training events.
- Assist in Designing, Updating, and Maintaining Tools and Templates for MEL Activities:
- Assist in the development, updating, and maintenance of various MEL tools and templates, including rubrics, policy dialogue tracking, impact logs, case study templates, publication trackers, and other MEL tools.
- Assist in Managing Database/Management Information System:
- Assist in organizing and maintaining the MEL folder structure, ensuring all relevant documentation is properly filed and easily accessible for internal use.
- Assist in developing and maintaining the MEL database, ensuring timely and accurate data input.
- Assist in the Development of Knowledge Briefs:
- Assist in drafting and editing knowledge briefs that summarize program progress and findings for external dissemination.
- Support the development of knowledge-sharing materials to convey program insights and outcomes to partners, stakeholders, and donors.
- Assist in the Arrangement of MEL Meetings and Workshops:
- Support the preparation of MEL-related workshops and meetings, such as strategy testing workshops and reflection meetings with partners, ensuring that lessons learned are well-documented.
- Other Supports
- Provide administrative supports such as request for payment, procurement request and others.

- Support any other program-related activities and duties assigned by the program team and The Asia Foundation.
- The intern should meet the following criteria:
- Be a third or fourth-year university student or fresh undergraduate from the university in related disciplines;
- Have good communication skills;
- Have a good understanding and interest in research;
- Have good interpersonal skills;
- Demonstrate a willingness to learn new things;
- Computer literate and able to use Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint etc.;
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure and work with various people on a multi-cultural team; and
- Good at English and Khmer language.
