Human Resource Assistant

Position Summary

As an HR Assistant, you will be a part of our admin and operations unit, which works to implement human resource activities and objectives, generate an organizational culture focused on employee well-being and improved quality of work, maintain accurate records, and ensure activities and objectives. S/he will contribute to the achievement of CDRI's mission and strategic plan objectives by performing the following duties

Expectations - Duties, Responsibilities
  • Assist the hiring manager in sourcing candidates and updating the staff database
  • Work with the Communication and Impact Unit to post jobs on social networks, such as LinkedIn,
  • Update employee records for existing employees, such as promotion, termination, and change of address.
  • Keep employee files confidential (staffing, recruitment, training, grievances, performance evaluations, etc.).
  • Assist line manager in recruitment processes
  • Assist in updating staff manual and orientation tool kids and procedures documents for newly hired employees.
  • Process documentation and assist the HR team with staff clearance and benefits
  • Assist in response to staff requests and provide relevant information about human resources issues, rules and regulations.
  • Coordinate communication with candidates and schedule interviews.
  • Keep track of staff movement for clearance and handover.
  • Provide relevant data, such as absences, holidays, sick leaves, and bonuses, to keep track and update.
Requirements - Skills, Qualifications, Experience
  • Bachelor’s in HR, management, or a related field.
  • Minimum three years of experience as an HR Assistant or relevant field.
  • Certification or diploma in fields such as Professional Human Resources
  • Strong communication of verbal and written English language and people skills
  • Ability to handle challenges and overcome them using conflict management skills
  • Time management and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Attentive listening and capacity to follow directions.
  • Excellence in both teamwork and individual tasks.
  • Confident, optimistic, and empathetic demeanor.
  • Computer skills and comfort with IT equipment.
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving capabilities
  • Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
 
 

Fieldwork Officer

Position Summary

The Field Officer is responsible for logistic arrangement, design data collection tools, sampling frame, sample size calculation, data quality check, clean data set. He/she works closely with fieldwork coordinator and program manager of research data unit in collaboration with CDRI research centre.

Expectations - Duties, Responsibilities
  • Logistic Arrangement:
  • Legal documentation, official letter to the ministry of authorities.
  • Recruit quality enumerators and team leader
  • Administrative support with training arrangement.
  • Data Collection tools:
  • Ethical guidelines and data collection protocol.
  • Questionnaire design in coordination with research center.
  • Questionnaires generate to digital form (KOBOTtoolbox)
  • Organize the data set for data analysis purposes.
  • Sampling frame and calculation:
  • Assist in providing sampling design and sampling frame
  • Assist in providing the calculation for sample size survey and data collection
  • Sample mapping and coordinator at the field
  • Field data quality check and clean data set:
  • Check data quality after the field survey with enumerator and team leader
  • Provide the complete data set after survey
  • Provide field observations documentation to researchers
Requirements - Skills, Qualifications, Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in economics, social development, Public Policy, Environmental, Agriculture, or related field.
  • 2 + years in fieldwork coordinating role for quantitative and qualitative data collection.
  • Strong excel, KOBOToolbox, Google form, STATA, Python/R is a plus.
  • Competence in quantitative and qualitative methodology.
