The Institut Pasteur du Cambodge (IPC) is a Cambodian non-for-profit research institution established in 1953, IPC is today a scientific research establishment declared of public utility placed under the high patronage of the Ministry of Health of the Kingdom of Cambodia and under the responsibility of the Institute Pasteur on the scientific and technical levels. The IPC is a member of the Pasteur Network, which brings together 33 institutes present on five continents. It shares the Pasteurian values and the ethical charter to which the Pasteur Institutes are bound. The IPC has more than 250 employees, including about 30 expatriates of 10 nationalities and includes 5 research units. It carries out research activities in health biology, public health and service activities (Medical Biology Laboratory, vaccinations and water and food analyses) and training.

Institut Pasteur du Cambodge is seeking for a suitable and qualified candidate to fill a position of Human Resources Assistant for one-year renewable contract.

Human Resource Assistant

Position Summary

The position is for for Administration Unit

Available to start in January 2024.

Expectations - Duties, Responsibilities
  • Assist all areas of human resource functions
  • Assists in recruiting process including job posting, scheduling interview, preparing related documents …
  • Perform introductory process for new comers (set up Safety door entry and attendance, print Staff ID, create employee files and other requirements)
  • Update employee personal information and status change data
  • Response for leave management in HR System (verify daily leave request, generate monthly leave report …)
  • Control all staff attendance management, fingerprint and time sheet
  • Assist in payroll preparation by collecting relevant payroll element
  • Prepare different documents relate to HR policies and practices (decision, letter, certificate and others)
  • Communicate with Ministry of labor and vocational training (MoLVT)
  • Deal with staff concerns and requests regarding HR related issues, internal regulations, labour law …
  • Performs other tasks assigned by managers
Requirements - Skills, Qualifications, Experience
  • Recruitment conditions:
  • Bachelor Degree in Human Resources/Business Administration or related field
  • At least two years’ experience in Human Resources field
  • References required
  • Candidate Profile:
  • Language required: English & Khmer. (Knowledge of French will be a plus)
  • Excellent ability to adapt
  • Rigour and professional awareness
  • Be consistent, Confidential, Honest and Fair
  • Knowledgeable in all Cambodian Labor Law and Cambodia Employment Process
  • Good computer skill: Microsoft office (Excel, Word, Power Point), Internet and email (Outlook), Khmer Typing and HRIS
  • Problem solving and Interpersonal Communication Skill
  • Human Resources Capacity
  • Willing to learn and ability to work under pressure
