Job Summary
The HR Supervisor is responsible for overseeing day-to-day HR operations, including recruitment, employee relations, training and development, and compliance with HR policies and procedures. This role supports the HR Manager in developing a positive organizational culture and fostering a productive, engaged workforce. The HR Supervisor is expected to lead a team of HR professionals and ensure that HR functions align with the organization’s goals.
- Supervision of HR Operations
- Oversee daily HR operations, including recruitment, onboarding, employee records, and benefits administration.
- Ensure efficient and accurate completion of all HR processes in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Provide guidance and support to HR team members and assist with any complex or escalated HR issues.
- Recruitment and Staffing
- Coordinate with hiring managers to determine staffing needs and develop recruitment strategies.
- Conduct interviews, oversee candidate assessments, and manage offer and onboarding processes.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and internal policies during recruitment and hiring.
- Employee Relations and Conflict Resolution
- Address employee concerns, mediate conflicts, and work to resolve issues while promoting a positive workplace culture.
- Conduct investigations into employee grievances or complaints as necessary.
- Support employee disciplinary actions and performance improvement plans in consultation with the HR Manager.
- Training and Development
- Identify training needs and help develop or implement training programs to enhance employee skills.
- Assist with the organization of workshops, training sessions, and orientation programs.
- Monitor training effectiveness and ensure continuous improvement.
- Compliance and Policy Administration
- Ensure company policies and practices are compliant with employment laws and regulations.
- Regularly review and update HR policies, procedures, and employee handbooks as needed.
- Stay current with labor law changes and inform management of any necessary updates or modifications to HR policies.
- Performance Management
- Support performance review cycles, including goal setting, mid-year reviews, and annual appraisals.
- Guide managers and employees in the performance evaluation process, helping to ensure fair and constructive feedback.
- Reporting and Analytics
- Prepare HR metrics and reports, analyzing trends in turnover, engagement, and other HR areas.
- Present data-driven insights to support decision-making in areas like recruitment, employee engagement, and retention.
- Team Leadership and Development
- Provide mentorship and professional development to HR team members, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment.
- Evaluate team performance and support skill development to meet HR and organizational goals.
- Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- 3-5 years of HR experience, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or lead role.
- Professional HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of labor laws and regulations.
- Proficiency in HR software (e.g., HRIS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
