The position is to reinforce its Grants Office Service.
The Grants Officer works under the supervision of the Head of the Grants Office and supports the management of IPC’s institutional and research grants portfolio. The role contributes to strengthening IPC’s grants management and fundraising capacity by supporting the coordination, administration, and continuous improvement of grant related processes and research management support.
Recruitment conditions:
- Contract: The initial contract is offered for 1 year (renewable).
- Start Date: Available to start as soon as possible.
- Remote Work: Possibility to work remotely, subject to job role and management approval.
- Manage the identification, screening, and dissemination of funding opportunities relevant to IPC research priorities
- Maintain and update internal databases related to funding programs, applications, and awarded projects
- Assist researchers in preparing grant applications, including administrative documentation, budget preparation, and submission through funder portals
- Support grant onboarding and follow-up, ensuring effective coordination between research, administrative, internal, and external stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with administrative, financial, and reporting requirements throughout the project lifecycle
- Support the setup and processing of grant agreements and collaborative research contracts, in coordination with relevant internal and external stakeholders
- Contribute to the development of grants management workflows and templates, as well as the maintenance of up-to-date internal guidelines for fundraising and sponsored collaborative research management

- Bachelor's Degree in international affairs, business administration, management, or a related field. A background in life sciences would be an asset
- Master's Degree
- Phd in biomedical sciences and experience in project management or research administration are encouraged to apply
- Proficiency in Khmer and English is required; French may be beneficial.
- Experience in grants management, research project coordination, fundraising, or research administration would be a plus.
- Certification or demonstrated training in project management, grants management, or advanced Excel is an advantage.
- Good understanding of research administration, grants management principles, and the full grant lifecycle.
- Ability to support proposal development, funder requirements, budget inputs, and submission processes with accuracy and consistency.
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to ensure complete and high-quality inputs for proposals, reports, budgets, administrative records, and compliance documentation.
- Strong organizational and data management skills, including the ability to track several applications, deadlines, deliverables, and reporting obligations.
- Good command of online collaborative tools and funder portals.

Pre-Award Scientific Grants Office Intern

The Institut Pasteur du Cambodge (IPC) is recruiting a full-time Pre-Award Scientific Grants Office Intern with a scientific background to join its Grants Office Service. The initial contract is for 6 months, based in Phnom Penh, with possible extension.
The Pre-Award Scientific Grants Office Intern will work under the supervision of the Head of the Grants Office and support IPC’s pre-award activities. The role will contribute to strengthening IPC’s grant development and fundraising capacity by assisting with the identification of funding opportunities, proposal preparation, coordination with research teams, and improvement of pre-award grant management processes.
Recruitment conditions:
- Contract: 6-month contract, with possible extension for another 6 months.
- Start date: As soon as possible
- Under the supervision of the Head of the Grants Office, the Pre-Award Scientific Grants Office Intern will support grant development, proposal preparation, and strategic pre-award activities through the following tasks:
- Identify and assess funding opportunities aligned with IPC’s scientific priorities and strategic objectives.
- Improve and update Grants Office databases to support funding intelligence, proposal tracking, and institutional reporting.
- Assist with the preparation of scientific, administrative, and compliance components of grant applications.
- Collect, organize, and format information from research teams for proposals, concept notes, reports, and institutional summaries.
- Map research themes, funders, calls, and strategic opportunities relevant to infectious diseases, public health, and global health.
- Support partner and funder mapping to strengthen project development and collaboration opportunities.
- Contribute to the improvement and development of pre-award tools, templates, and SOPs.

- Undergraduate Degree
- Bachelor's Degree in life sciences, public health, biomedical sciences, epidemiology, microbiology, immunology, or a related field.
- Good understanding of scientific writing, research methods, and project documentation

- Good analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to synthesize information clearly
