Starting date: April 2026, or as soon as possible
The Fundraising & Partnership Manager will be responsible for finding new donors and diversify donor portfolios to ensure long-term financial sustainability aligned with the Damnok Toek’s strategic plan.
To achieve this, the first priority will be to secure funds for 2026 and 2027.As a second priority, a comprehensive fundraising strategy to secure funding from institutional donors, foundations, corporate partners, embassies, UN agencies, and individual donors will have to be developed based on the current portfolios.
You will work closely with the Communication officer, the Programme and Finance’s team and M&E to prepare grant proposals and strengthen the relationship with the donor base. Your excellent communication (mainly in English), budgeting and writing skills (particularly for donor proposals), your knowledge of project cycle management and Logical Framework analysis will be an important asset to the fundraising team in:
- Securing new business and diversification of donor portfolio:
- Conduct prospect research and donor mapping to actively identifying potential new donors that align with DT’s values, mission and current project needs through networking and relationship-building.
- Secure funding from new multilateral donor agencies, trusts and foundations, government agencies, corporates, embassies and private donors for all Damnok Toek’s projects.
- Develop corporate and local fundraising initiatives aligned with Damnok Toek’s mission.
- Develop individual donor campaigns (online and offline).
- Network and attending relevant events for exploring potential donors and partners.
- Fundraising strategy and innovation
- Develop a multi-annual fundraising strategy for securing a stable and diversified donor base for Damnok Toek;
- Set annual fundraising targets in coordination with senior management.
- Diversify funding streams (institutional, corporate, major donors, events, digital giving) aligned with Damnok Toek’s mission and goals.
- Provide guidance and direction for analysis, planning, implementation and management on all fundraising partners and channels, with emphasis on achieving flexible and unrestricted resources.
- Build and supports a culture of innovation to drive fundraising growth;
- Stay abreast of key developments in the external environment as they affect fundraising, and continuously look for adapting and identifying new opportunities;
- Stewardship of ongoing donor relations
- Maintain and cultivate relationships with Damnok Toek’s institutional and private donors and coordinating donor project visits with the team.
- Oversee grant-compliance and achievement of indicators and goals and inform of any deviances to Executive Director.
- Represent the organization in donor meetings and networking events.
- Proposal Development & Grant Management
- Lead the development of high-quality concept notes and full proposals in close collaboration with the Programme and Finance’s team and M&E.
- Coordinate with programme and finance teams to prepare: logical frameworks, budgets, workplans and monitoring frameworks.
- Ensure timely submission of funding applications.
- Maintain a grants tracking system (pipeline management).
- Travel to project sites to observe implementation, identify needs, and understand field developments, thereby supporting the preparation and improvement of grant proposals
- Communication & Visibility
- Work closely with the communication officer to:
- Develop fundraising materials (brochures, impact reports, pitch decks).
- Strengthen digital fundraising (website, social media, crowdfunding platforms).
- Support preparation of donor reports and impact stories.
- English - Fluent
- Khmer is preferred
- Bachelor's Degree in relevant field, or relevant experience
- At least experience in fundraising, business development or grant management for 5 years
- Positive track record securing new grants on at least 6 figure level and managing grants from diverse donor portfolio.
- Experience working with Cambodian NGOs or INGOs a plus.
- Prior experience in organizations working with children and vulnerable families will be valued.
- Strong proposal writing and budgeting skills.
- Fluency in written and verbal English, knowledge of Khmer language is an advantage.
- Computer literate: competency in Microsoft Office and collaborative work tools
- Strong networking and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently with little supervision meeting ambitious income targets and managing multiple deadlines.
