Flucy Project Coordinator (1 Position)

Position Summary

Report to : FLUCY Project manager

The Project Coordinator will coordinate the Project Officer of Fulness of Life for Urban Children and Youth Project (FLUCY) to effectively and efficiently implement all project’s activities in the urban target areas, including Pour Sen Chey and Praek Phnov Khan/ District, Phnom Penh Municipality. S/he will work under the supervision of the Project Manager. S/he will work closely with the Project Officer to plan, implement and monitor the project’s activities on a regular basis in order to ensure high quality of project delivery with effective and efficient management of the project’s budget. S/he will support the Project Manager and Head of Program in compiling the project reports, accompanying visitors, maintaining a routine design, monitoring, evaluation and learning system of the project and helping with other administrative tasks. S/he is required to work in close coordination with the Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Specialist (MEL-S), Agriculture and Value Chains Specialist (AVC-S), Communication and IT Specialist, and LHCO’s program support teams. S/he must maintain and build good relationship with local authorities (Village Chiefs, Commune/ Sangkat Councilors, Khan/ District Councilors), school teachers, churches, youth, children, NGOs, business owners and other key relevant stakeholders.

Requirements - Skills, Qualifications, Experience
  • At least bachelor's degree in social or development work or other related fields.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in related fields with NGOs and/or private sectors.
  • Experience in project management (participatory needs assessment, planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation).
  • Proven good experience in narrative project report writing.
  • Experience in implementing livelihood and education activities desirable.
  • Experience in working with children, youth, marginalized and vulnerable communities, especially with those who are living in urban areas.
  • Knowledgeable in Social Entrepreneurship, Agriculture and Value Chains, Education, and Climate Change. Knowledgeable and applicable in Participatory Learning and Action (PLA) tools.
  • Knowledge of urban poor communities in Phnom Penh is desirable.
  • Facilitation skills
  • Proactiveness and ability to learn quickly
  • Presentation skills, Training and development, Monitoring and evaluation, Communication and coordination, Fluent in Khmer, and good at English, both writing and speaking
  • Good Computer literacy in MS-Office as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Email, and Internet
  • Be flexible, proactive, and creative, Be committed and patient, be honest, be accountable and transparent, Willing to work in remote areas, working under pressure, Willing to adapt and cope with changes, Open-minded and willing to listen to and learn from others., Team spirit and attitude of services.
