Works closely with: Cambodia Office team and Internews Finance Unit in Regional Office
- DAY-TO-DAY TASKS will include:
- Maintaining complete accounting records of all expenses for Internews projects in compliance with funder requirements and Internews policy;
- Monitors project budget to ensure incurred and projected spending is consistent with budgeted amounts;
- Processes accounting requests from project management teams: expense reports, check requests, wire transfer requests, etc.;
- Ensures all expenditures are conducted and reported on in compliance with requirements outlined by project funder and in accordance with Internews policy;
- Ensures timely issuance of the financial report, assisting with budget modifications as required;
- Works closely with counterparts in regional and head offices;
- Conducts monthly analysis by project by each line item to produce a summary report for project management monthly discussion;
- Assists in developing budgets for project proposals;
- Understands Cambodia Tax Law, NSSF Policy, processes and ensures Internews is in compliance with all local laws and regulations;
- Ensures Internews complies with regulatory requirements by submitting timely financial status and activity reports;
- Processes staff payroll as per Cambodia tax law;
- Able to update and prepare all VAT claim requests by USAID and other donors;
- Other duties as assigned;

- HUMAN RESOURCES TASKS will include:
- Draft employment contract for Local Staffs/Local consultants
- Input in Employment Handbook, based on Local Labor Law
- Support Recruitment Process
- Keep personal files
- Keep and compiling all staff JD on Internew’s Drive for safely accessing.
- Keep Performance Appraisal Files
- Keep leave records for Local Staffs
- Create ResID for new staff in ERP
- Process registration at Ministration of Labor and adding new staff to the list of staff at Ministry of Labor,
- Process work permit for expatriate staffs
- Liaison with HR HQ-problem solving-seeking advice on HR matters
- Other duties as assigned and related to HR
- Fluent written and spoken English and Khmer
- Computer literacy in both English and Khmer
- Strong experience in finance and accounting
- Good knowledge of Cambodia Tax Law and regulations
- Good knowledge of QuickBooks and other accounting software
- Relevant university degree
- Experience working in non-profit organizations preferred
- Understand well about some system on QuickBooks/Business World or other
- Experience working on USAID-funded and other US-government funded projects preferred
