The company was founded on the premise that if we want wildlife in our world, it has to work for local communities who share their environment. Wildlife Works’ conservation projects drive direct financing to forest communities to fund their own economic development while preventing millions of tons of carbon dioxide emissions from entering the atmosphere annually.

Field Staff

Position Summary

We are seeking for one (01) Cambodian National Field Staff for the Livelihoods project implementation. This position will be based in Samlout, Koh Krolor district, Battambang province and Veal Veng and Phnom Kravanh district, Pursat province. This is a one-year contract and possibly to extension.

Expectations - Duties, Responsibilities
  • Coordinate with local authorities and volunteers to select poor families to participated in project
  • To facilitate in meeting/training on agriculture activities and environment protection to the families in the remote areas
  • To follow up and providing technical support to set up model farm base in target villages
  • To facilitate in field visit, monitoring and project evaluation
  • Coordinated to form farmer groups in vegetable growing, animal raising, and food processing
  • To facilitate in market networking between producers/farmers and buyers
  • Assist with the production of education, training and extension resource materials in Khmer language.
  • Maintain and build relationship with other NGOs/Institutions, local authority and relevant stakeholders.
  • Prepare necessary financial documents for conducting agriculture activities
  • To prepare the progress report and send to Agriculture manager
Requirements - Skills, Qualifications, Experience
  • Educational/Experience Requirement:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in any Agriculture course
  • At least 1 year experience in agriculture sector and Community Development
  • Special Skills/Abilities Required
  • Demonstrate knowledge of agronomy of crop, vegetable, cassava and corns production methods, fruit tree, food processing and farming systems.
  • Has knowledge and experience in husbandry (chicken and duck raising) and aquaculture
  • Ability to implement field experiments including data collection, recording and management.
  • Possess good communication skills, both oral and written and both in English and Khmer.
  • Demonstrate good facilitation skills.
  • Demonstrate analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to work and stay for long periods in remote area. o A team player and is also a good team leader.
  • Able to develop and maintain effective working relationships at all levels. o Understands and adheres to confidentiality protocols.
  • Flexible and able to work independently under pressure.
