Female Counselor

Position Summary

Location: Based in Phnom Penh and regular travel to provinces

Key outcomes: Healing each innocent girl who were victimized through scientific and art of counseling

Expectations - Duties, Responsibilities
  • Conduct emotional support:
  • There are 12 session conduct to each survivor in shelter home or in the community;
  • Provide counseling support to clients and their families during the initial investigation phase of their case intervention and traveling to province.
  • Intervene and assess the client’s needs, traveling to the province when necessary.
  • Arrange and accompany the client to the appropriate services: such as in court proceedings.
  • Share the responsibility for managing the Case management.
  • Produce report regularly to supervisor | manager
  • Trauma Informed Care (TIC)
  • Review and improve TIC in regular basis
  • Conduct TIC to team and stakeholders and partners
Requirements - Skills, Qualifications, Experience
  • Psychology degree with experience in area
  • Experience and Understanding of child protections and development in Child Sex Trafficking and exploitation
  • Very strong in case management system
  • Very strong interpersonal relations with stakeholders & beneficiaries
  • Very proactive and creative as well as innovative approaches to transform lives

Girl’s Shelter Manager

Position Summary

Female Only

Key outcomes: Lead Transit Home where could transform the life of victimized girls to reach their potential. Foresee the girls’ life is brighter and greater. She will be a change agent for their friends and family, communities from being trafficked and exploited.

Expectations - Duties, Responsibilities
  • Oversees the Shelter operational day-to-day activities including development, planning, and implementation of all program components; building operations and maintenance oversight; community monitoring; and all other Shelter activities.
  •  Through delegation, manages the Shelter supply program through routine inventories, supply lists, and purchasing communications as appropriate.
  •  Supervised through delegation to the Advocate team, all guest activities ensuring the timely response to questions and concerns are completed in accordance with requirements, rules, and regulations. 
  • Oversees the approval/denial of guest and resident terminations as outlined in the Employee Handbook and the coordination of bed assignments, smoke breaks, and other daily Shelter-related routines. 
  • Ensures new guests receive and understand program requirements, rules, and regulations.
  •  Understands and reviews grant narratives, outcome metrics, and budgets to prevent programmatic drift. 
  • Through delegation to the Shelter and Community Advocate team, ensures all housekeeping is completed as needed. 
  • Ensures all Shelter and surrounding community issues including those that foster disharmony, harm to self or others, or criminal activity are addressed in a professional, appropriate, and timely manner.
  •  Reviews all written violations, incident reports, and staff log narratives for appropriateness, completion, and follow up with guests, staff, Human Resources, and other members of the Leadership Team. 
  • Documents and notifies the Program Officer and Human Resources and Administration Director of all guest concerns, potential workflow problems, and/or any exceptions to policy that could impact program flow and security as appropriate. 
  • Maintains knowledge of fire, safety, health, and work standards to ensure a safe and positive environment for all.
  •  Provides emergency assistance to guests and co-workers as necessary.
  •  Provides informed Shelter tours as needed to elected officials, funders, donors, and community stakeholders.

Female Caregiver (2 Positions)

Position Summary

Key outcomes: transform the survivor girls as your daughter, foresee their life is brighter

Expectations - Duties, Responsibilities
  • Support gilr’s well-being by building personal connections, creating meaningful social engagement, helping with independence, and providing security.
  • Assist with shopping, light housekeeping, laundry, meal preparation, and other instrumental activities of daily living.
  • Assist those who can walk, wash, dress, eat, groom. You may provide encouragement, help oversee activities, provide setup assistance, etc.
  • Help survivors correctly use medical equipment.
  • Supervise and educate home care teams, including family care providers and professional caregivers.
  • Monitor girls for changes in behavior, mood, and more.
  • Coordinate communications with the girls, their family members, and caregivers
  • Document all visits.
  • Arrange the schedule for the girls to meet social worker/counselor
Requirements - Skills, Qualifications, Experience
  • Cambodian female, 25 years and above
  • Experience and knowledge working with children who are in vulnerable situations
  • Child oriented and and see live that will be transformed
  • Understanding the child protection and development
  • Able to be flexible on working schedule day, night or weekend and holiday
  • basic communication skills in khmer and English
 
 

Community Awareness Raising Associate (1 Position)

Position Summary

Key outcome: The local authorities and law enforcement lead and own the activities to drive the risk from their communities for the sake of their children and communities

  • Outreach and Community Engagement
  • Empower local authorities and law enforcement to conduct awareness-raising activities
  • Monitor and Trace the impact of post implementation
  • Join effort to conduct the reflection of post impact activities to enhance scientific approach for next activities
