Entomology Database Manager
Job Summary
Under supervision of the Technical Manager (entomologist), the Entomology Database Manager is expected to support the PMI VectorLink Cambodia Project’s entomological data collection, entry, and management.
- Entering all entomological data collected on paper based data collection forms into the PMI VectorLink Cambodia Project’s DHIS 2-based VectorLink Collect database.
- Support proper and timely data recording and entry as well as provide feedback on data collections errors to field technicians and entomologists.
- Performing regular data cleaning to ensure high quality data to inform vector control decision making.
- Ensure the tracking of entomological samples sent to the laboratory for molecular analysis and support the integration of bar coding for laboratory data collection and management.
- Ensure the integration of laboratory results into the DHIS 2-based VectorLink Collect database, when relevant.
- Supporting work with CNM and the MIS consultant to ensure that the integration and roll out of entomological modules in CNM’s national MIS is functional, launched in a timely manner and meeting the requested system requirements.
- Responding to any additional requests from CNM and partners to ensure that CNM’s national MIS entomological modules meet the needs of all stakeholders.
- Assist the lead entomologist in the development of analytics and visualizations for all PMI and CNM reporting and presentations.
- Filing all entomological data collected according to project filing protocols.
- Performing other project related duties assigned by the supervisor.
- Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Data Science, Entomology, Biology, Biological Sciences, Biostatistics or other health related field.
- Minimum of three years experience.
- Previous experience in data collection, entry, and management is an advantage.
- Previous experience with DHIS 2 is preferred.
- Good interpersonal, communication and analytical skills
- Proficiency in English
- Previous experience in IRS activities or vector control activities or general experience as field biologist working with research projects in health or natural resource disciplines is an added advantage.

- Bachelor’s Degree + Two years of relevant experience, or Master’s Degree
