About English Teacher (Floating)
Note: For Cambodian applications Only
English Teacher (Floating) leads and manages any classes that do not have a teacher. In addition, they assist with office administration work including checking and following up on students’ daily attendance, dealing with students’ behavioral issues, and any other tasks assigned by their supervisor. The candidate should be proficient in English, confident to teach a new class at short notice, and be able to learn the curriculum well enough to substitute any class.
Report to: School Operations Officer
Key liaison: Education Team
- Model the organization’s values and associated behaviors within the office.
- Substitute a class when there is no teacher.
- Facilitate the lab room when the e-learning facilitator is absent.
- Assist with checking and following up on students’ daily attendance,
- Assist with dealing with students’ behavioral issues.
- Assist in preparing Student Monthly Perfect Attendance Events for Satellite Schools.
- Assist in accompanying students to meet Sponsor Relation Officers or external CCF activities and events.
- Assist in Student Monthly Score Record as well as STL Student Monthly Award.
- Prepare materials for a lesson when the teacher is absent.
- Assist in collecting students’ official documents for Satellite Schools.
- Attend professional development workshops and continually develop their English proficiency.
- Ensure a friendly and positive learning environment for students.
- Come to classes on time, prepare well, and communicate effectively with the regular class teachers
- Ethical and able to demonstrate CCF values in day-to-day work
- Bachelor degree of TESOL or related field
- Certificate of Teaching Methodology is preferred
- English Proficiency (At least GEP Level 11A, releasing for recognizing by Australia Center for Education, ACE or equivalent qualification) with a desire to continually develop English skills
- ICT Skills, especially G-Suite
- Be honest, trustworthy, patient, respectful and helpful
- Able to ask for help with any problems, creating resources, ideas for lessons and tools, or if there is any task that you don’t understand
- High compassion and commitment to work with our community and children from a difficult background
- Genuine enjoyment for helping the students and passion for teaching
- Working Days/Hours: 07:30am-12:00pm and 01:30pm-05:00pm from Monday to Saturday(full-time)
