Electrical Designers
Electrical Designer to support the projects related to improving power utility and communication companies’ engineering and supporting construction operations. Projects can include power utility pole communication cable attachment projects and programs, distribution engineering design projects, and MV power distribution system improvement projects. The work relates directly to improving network reliability of electric distribution systems and expanding high speed fiberoptic communication networks.

- Apply client standards and other applicable guidelines to complete engineering designs (utility pole replacements, communication cable attachment modifications, and new communication cable attachment design);
- Be able to analyze field collected data (including imagery) and accurately update applicable software packages for successful design implementation;
- Communicate with local co-workers and the US team, to agree on the best solution for engineering design;
- Be accountable for work assigned and responsible for completing work on project schedule and within project budget while regularly communicating status with management team.
- Minimum Requirements:
- Electrical Engineering degree from an accredited college or university,
- At least three years of prior professional experience,
- Must be an organized person who can keep data organized from start to finish on a project;
- Ability to prioritize work on multiple projects and effectively communicate project statuses;
- Computer proficiency including general Microsoft Office products, design, and business enterprise software;
- Reasoning skills and ability to solve practical problems;
- Native Khmer speakers only;
- Written and spoken English ability at a professional and technical level.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings/schematics
- Working knowledge of MV & LV electrical distribution principles and/or communication equipment construction
- Experience with construction modeling software, AutoCAD is beneficial
- Familiar with design and checking practices for engineering drawings and deliverables
