Enfants d’Asie is a recognized public utility association certified by IDEAS label and established in 1991. Its aim is to help underprivileged children in Southeast Asia towards a better future for themselves and emerge from poverty in a sustainable way.

Enfants d’Asie is currently supporting more than 10,500 children from poor families in Cambodia, Laos, the Philippines and Vietnam. Enfants d’Asie provides them with a global accompaniment: from schooling to professional integration, including basic needs and moral support.

The association provides underprivileged young people with access to school and a stable career, thus ensuring a change in the situation of the child, her/his family and of the community, while contributing to the country's economic situation.

Position Summary

Conditions : flexible position (full-time), on week-ends and public holidays

Availability: February 2024

Conditions

  • Based in Phnom Penh
  • Contract of 12 months, renewable
  • Gross Salary: 300$
  • Health cover: NSSF
Expectations - Duties, Responsibilities
  • Strategy and representation:
  • Participate in the representation of Enfants d'Asie and the centre in different meetings or events
  • Respect the Enfants d'Asie regulation regarding finance and administration process
  • Children school follow-up:
  • Support and encourage academic performance and educational success
  • Supervise homework times and help children with learning difficulties
  • Ensure attendance and school follow-up: team meeting, reporting, evaluation
  • Maintain qualitative relationship with school teachers
  • Children social follow-up:
  • Assist the Center Director for the monthly meeting with children
  • Share with the social worker about children cases
  • Identify and report children’s problem
  • Ensure relationship with relatives by phone calls and/or visits
  • Children support:
  • Be the personal referent of a group of children
  • Check material needed for children
  • Support the Center Director to purchase needed materials
  • Participate in team meeting to improve running of the center
  • Propose, organize and animate inside and outside activities - including garden, sport, art, soft skills workshops
  • Ensure activities’ follow-up: organization, team meeting, reporting, evaluation
  • Supervise daily activities including meal, clean and school time
  • Be involve in the civic education of children and share life experience
  • Children hygiene and well-being:
  • Provide first-aid medical attention to children in need
  • Inform the direction in case of health emergency
  • Accompany children to the hospital if family cannot join
  • Make sure of children bodily cleanliness
  • Supervise the daily schedule and lead children on cleaning time of the rooms and center
Requirements - Skills, Qualifications, Experience
  • Bachelor in the field of education, child psychology, social work, art or any other relevant subject
  • Work experience with children
  • Good communication in Khmer and English
  • Sense of initiative, creative, open and critical-minded
  • Strongly motivated to work for disadvantaged children
  • High sense of integrity and honesty
  • Able to work in an international team
  • Available to work on weekends and public holidays
