Education Manager
Location: Andong village, near Phnom Penh, Cambodia
Start date: As soon as possible
Working Schedule: Monday to Friday, 40 hours/week
The Role: Education Manager
We are looking for a Cambodian national with experience in teaching to lead our education programs in Andong. As Education Manager, you will supervise teachers and develop our curriculum. You will work closely with students, parents, and the SCCO team to ensure that our programs are effective and meaningful. You will report directly to the Executive Director and interact with our (international) board. Your work, together with the teachers, will directly shape the academic, social, and emotional development of vulnerable children.

- Education Program Leadership
- Develop and implement SCCO’s education strategy
- Set and monitor teaching standards, guidelines, and goals
- Try out and recommend new teaching methods to improve student learning
- Curriculum and Quality Oversight
- Oversee lesson planning and student-centered learning
- Update the curriculum based on student needs and results
- Ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming classroom environment
- Team management and Teacher Development
- Supervise, coach, and mentor a team of motivated teachers
- Conduct classroom observations and performance reviews
- Provide coaching, training, and professional development
- Ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming work environment
- Student monitoring and Data management
- Use tools to track student attendance and progress
- Analyze data to improve teaching and report to Executive Director and board
- Help select students fairly, based on community needs
- Parental and Community Engagement
- Organize regular parent meetings and share student progress
- Coordinate with the Community Manager for family support
- Budgeting and Resource Management
- Plan and manage the education program budget
- Manage and administer the monthly parent contributions per student, per class
- We are looking for someone who is:
- A Cambodian national
- Holds a Bachelor’s degree in Education (Master’s is a plus)
- Has at least 3 years of teaching or education program experience
- Has at least 1-3 years or more in a leadership or supervisory role
- Skilled in curriculum development and modern teaching techniques
- Confident using computers and data monitoring (Microsoft Office)
- Passionate about education and helping vulnerable children
- A team player with strong communication skills in both Khmer and English
