Dog Catcher and Driver
Who we need
We are seeking compassionate Dog Catchers/Drivers for our ITC. As a Dog Catcher/Driver, you will join a team of 20 staff members, who are passionate about teaching surgical skills. You will work 8 hours per day, 5 days a week (one of these days will be on weekends). There are two different shifts and you might be scheduled for different shifts depending on the overall schedule. The shifts are either from 6am – 3pm or 9am - 6pm.
You will drive a small truck to pick up dogs and bring them to the ITC. Each truck will have 2 Dog Catchers/Drivers. You must have a valid driver’s license.
Your responsibilities will be:
- Pick up dogs with a truck and bring them to the ITC for spay/neuter
- Gently and compassionately handle/interact with dogs
- Assist dog owners/caretakers in filling in forms prior to dog pick-up, and communicate with dog owners/caretakers as needed
- Follow record keeping protocols
- Coordinate pick-ups and drop-offs with the Community Engagement Coordinator
- Disinfect/clean the trucks after each dog transport
- Observe animals and report signs of illness and stress/anxiety
- Assist the veterinary team with dog handling as needed
As the ITC is currently under construction, you might be asked to work at our shelter/clinic in Boeung Tumpun for the first months, depending on your starting date.

- You are great with dogs, and you are willing to learn about animal handling techniques to provide stress-reducing care for dogs.

- You are familiar Google Maps and basic mobile technology.
- You are fluent in Khmer and your English is good (intermediate).
