Save Cambodia’s Wildlife (SCW) is a leading national NGO working for the protection and conservation of natural resources and wildlife habitats throughout Cambodia. SCW focuses on education, using book publications, teaching programs and awareness campaigns to empower all levels of society. Natural Resource Management, Climate Change, Environmental Education and Alternative Livelihoods form the primary basis of their work.

In collaboration with our partner with Welthungerhilfe (WHH) and under financial support from German Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), and in cooperation with the Ministry of Environment SCW is undertaking a project titled: “Protection of the tropical forest and biodiversity in Cambodia”. The overall goal of the project is Cambodia’s tropical forest and its biodiversity are sustainably protected and it is a 3-year period between 1st December 2018 and 28th February 2022.

The project is looking for an experienced firm or a consultant to undertake end-line survey collecting relevant data to assess the achievement of the project expected results as compared to the existing baseline data sets documented by the project.

OBJECTIVE OF ENDLINE STUDY

An experienced consultant is required to conduct project end-line study collecting data and information from relevant stakeholders and from the existing NRM coalition structures at local, sub-national, regional and national level in environmental sector in Cambodia to compare with findings stated in baseline survey.

SCOPE OF WORK

Target Group

The project end-line study will be undertaken within a network ("Green Belt") consisting of 168 CPAs in Cambodia, collecting data for the indicators similar to the baseline to harvest the significant changes of the project.

The following are the main responsibilities of the winning consultant:

  • For a period of one week (7 days), the consultant(s) prepare research team and undertake desk review on relevant documents, such as proposal and baseline report;
  • For a period of two weeks (14 days), the consultant should undertake field visits interviewing related CPA considering using the existing questionnaires used during the baseline survey;
  • Conduct meetings at local levels with commune councilors, district officials, at sub-national level with relevant departments such as department of environment, NGOs active and representatives of sub-national NRM coalition network;
  • At national level, conduct meetings with related departments within the ministry of environment, NGOs at national level that support green belt network and also with representatives of national NRM coalition network; and
  • Within a period of nine days (9 days) perform data entry and Generate a professional end-line study report
  • The final end-line report should be submitted to SCW by 15th March 2022.

Expected Outputs:

  • Delivering a high quality end-line study report presenting findings as compared to the baseline data according to project results and indicators, indicating significant change and provide key recommendations.
  • End-line report in English be submitted to SCW and our donor timely.

Bidder Eligibility

  • REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • At least 3 years relevant experience in undertaking project baseline and end-line survey;
  • Academic background in environmental sector;
  • Proven good language command in Khmer and English, oral and written

Submission Requirements

METHODOLOGY

Interested agencies, research groups or individuals should submit a statement, describing appropriate methodologies to plan and carry out the intended end-line survey. SCW team at the field is available to assist where needed.
