Consultant to Conduct the Feasibility Study of Cambodia-UAE Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA)
The recruiting an international consultant to conduct the Feasibility Study of Cambodia-UAE Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) for the Ministry of Commerce.
The International Consultant will conduct comprehensive research and provide policy advice on the feasibility of Cambodia-UAE Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA). Specifically, the study aims to explore the impact of Cambodia-UAE FTA on (a) trade and investment liberalization, (b) sectoral impact on manufacturing, services, and agriculture, (c) explore policy priorities for deeper economic cooperation, (d) non-tariff barriers, (e) trade and investment facilitation, (f) trade remedies, and (f) the behind-border-issues such as movement of people, SMEs, and domestic capacities.
The Consultant will be base in department of Europe, Middle East and Africa and shall directly report to the director general of international trade. For day-to-day coordination, the consultant is to work closely with the director of Europe, Middle East and Africa department. The contract for a period of 08 Months working a maximum of 62 working days during that period (e.g. from the contract signing date). The contract can be renewable and the number of days extended beyond this period if it is necessary.
- Qualifications to be quantitatively evaluated (scored):
- PhD or Master Degree in international trade, Economics or Business, with specialization in free trade feasibility study or Management from a recognized international school or university.
- Minimum practical experience of 10 years directly relevant to free trade feasibility study, international trade or trade policy.
- Minimum experience of 8 years in a management position in a trade, economic or business development sector in Cambodia and/or in the region.
- Data analysis and interpretation skill.
- Good report writing skill.
- Proven experience to manage team effectively and deliver under tight timeline,
- Proven experience in leading multi-stakeholder consultation with government and other stakeholder.
