Responsibility:
Task 1: Financial Report Review
- Examine the company’s financial statements, including the Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow Statement, and related notes.
- Verify the accuracy and completeness of financial data and disclosures.
- Assess compliance with applicable accounting standards and relevant regulatory requirements.
- Identify any inconsistencies, material misstatements, or areas requiring clarification.
Task 2: Financial Performance Analysis
- Evaluate key financial ratios, including profitability, liquidity, and operational efficiency.
- Compare actual performance against established financial projections and historical trends.
- Identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and risks in the financial performance.
Task 3: Business Valuation
- Apply appropriate valuation methods (e.g., Discounted Cash Flow, Comparable Company Analysis, Asset-Based Valuation).
- Consider both tangible and intangible assets, as well as potential growth drivers.
- Highlight key assumptions, risk factors, and sensitivities affecting valuation outcomes.
- Provide a clear and reasoned valuation conclusion to inform investment, growth, or partnership decisions.
Deliverables
- Inception Report – Work plan, methodology, timeline, and required data.
- Draft Report – Findings on financial report accuracy/compliance, performance analysis, and preliminary valuation.
- Final Report – Consolidated review with conclusions, valuation results, and recommendations.
Bidder Eligibility
- Proven experience in reviewing and verifying financial statements for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with local standards
- Strong skills in financial ratio, trend, and variance analysis, with the ability to benchmark against industry standards
- Proficiency in business valuation methods and assessing tangible/intangible assets
- Excellent report writing and presentation skills for both financial and non-financial audiences
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in corporate finance, auditing, or investment advisory; agribusiness sector experience is an asset.
- High standards of integrity, confidentiality, and professional ethics
- Very good interpersonal communication skills, ability to work with a diverse team.
