Location: Based in Mondulkiri Province, with field visits to project communities and suppliers
Working Day: Monday – Saturday morning

Purpose of the Community Coordinator:
The Community Coordinator will serve as a vital link between smallholder farmers, farming suppliers, local communities, and project stakeholders. Their role is to facilitate community engagement, foster effective relationships with farming suppliers, support the implementation of project activities, promote gender equality, Disability and social inclusion (GEDSI), and ensure the integration of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles across all project components
The Community Coordinator will work under the direct supervision of the Sustainability Specialist.
- Community and Supplier Engagement and Mobilization:
- Build trust and maintain strong relationships with smallholder farmers, indigenous groups, local leaders, community organizations, and farming suppliers
- Facilitate community meetings, workshops, and outreach activities to raise awareness about the project, sustainable farming practices, and the collaboration benefits.
- Engage with farming suppliers to coordinate procurement, ensure a reliable supply of quality coffee beans, and promote fair and transparent practices
- Implementation Support
- Assist in designing the performance-based support framework that helps coffee growers to improve their productivity.
- Establish and strengthening linkages between farmers and suppliers to improve supply chain efficiency and quality standards.
- Support farmers in meeting quality and volume requirements to satisfy supplier and market needs.
- Support the selecting and training of farmers in climate-smart agricultural practices, including irrigation, soil management, pest control, harvest techniques,
- Conduct community outreach to educate farmer on support opportunities, eligibility criteria, and application procedures related to the performance-based model.
- Provide the support for agriculture inputs to eligible coffee growers.
- Promote GEDSI and ESG Principles:
- Ensure project activities are inclusive, equitable, and accessible, with particular attention to empowering women, indigenous peoples, and marginalized groups,
- Promote gender-sensitive approaches in all project activities, encouraging women's participation and leadership.
- Incorporate environmental sustainability and social responsibility in community and supplier interactions.
- Monitoring and Reporting
- Assist in set up monitor and reporting system for the utilization of the support mechanism.
- Monitor and assess impact of the support mechanism or intervention, irrigation system improvement, productivity, and sustainability outcomes.
- Capacity Building and Liaison:
- Facilitate capacity development activities for farmers, community leaders, and local institutions.
- Coordinate with local authorities, NGOs, service providers, and suppliers to establish partnerships that support project objectives
- Selection Criteria:
- Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Rural Development, Social Sciences, or related fields
- Proven experience working with smallholder farmers, suppliers, indigenous communities, or rural development projects
- Strong understanding of sustainable agriculture, climate-smart practices, and supply chain linkages
- Experience promoting GEDSI and ESG principles within development projects
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and facilitation skills
- Ability to work effectively in diverse, multicultural, and remote community and supplier settings
- Good in English and Khmer both spoken and written
- Expected Deliverables by the Community Coordinator:
- The Community Coordinator is expected to deliver the following:
- Signed agreements with at least 30 eligible coffee growers regarding irrigation solutions and farming inputs.
- Delivery of support to these farmers (least 30 eligible coffee growers) as per signed agreements.
- A comprehensive plan outlining strategies for engaging communities and suppliers, including outreach activities, stakeholder mapping, and communication channel.
- Establishment of strong working relationships with at least 30 of smallholder farmers, indigenous groups, and farming suppliers.
- Conduct training sessions on climate-smart farming, GEDSI principles, and supply chain practices, with documented attendance and feedback to target coffee growers.
- Documentation of linkages, agreements, or MOUs between farmers and suppliers throughout the project period
- Monthly progress reports highlighting engagement activities, challenges, and successes, with a comprehensive final report summarizing achievements and lessons learned.
- Development and implementation of a GEDSI action plan to ensure inclusive participation, with progress reports on gender and social inclusion indicators
- Records of sustainable practices adopted by farmers and suppliers, including certifications or recognitions
- A final report summarizing community engagement, impacts achieved, and recommendations for future activities
Technical Agricultural Extension Officer (3 Positions)

- One post Based in Krong Senmonorom, O’rang, district, Mondulkir province
- Two posts Based in Pichreda district, Mondulkiri province

Purpose of the Technical Agricultural Extension Officer:
The primary goal is to provide extension services and promote good agricultural practices among targeted coffee farmer. The one Technical Agricultural Extension Officer will be based in O’rang district and Krong Senmonorom, and 2 more Technical Agricultural Extension Officer will be based in Pichreda district in specific target villages. The Technical Agricultural Extension Officer will manage, implement, and deliver project activities in Mondulkiri Province, specifically in target project to:
- Increasing local coffee production
- Improving farming techniques,
- Strengthening post-harvest practices to enhance the competitiveness and profitability of smallholder coffee farmers
- Ensuring environmentally sustainable farming practices
The Technical Agricultural Extension Officer will work under the direct supervision of the Community Coordinator.
- Extension Services and Outreach activities
- Harvest management including
- Provide guidance on optimal harvesting techniques to ensure the quality and integrity of the coffee bean,
- Provide practical training on the best practices for timing, handling, and processing of harvested coffee to maximize flavor and minimize waste.
- Irrigation systems management
- Support coffee grower in the process of irrigation system installation, management and maintenance of irrigation system;
- Adopt to water-saving techniques and drip irrigation
- Fertilizer and soil management
- Develop fertilizer model to optimize soil health and coffee plant's growth
- Provide recommendation on the appropriate organic and chemical fertilizers based on soil condition and crop requirements
- Pest and disease management
- Provide information about potential pest and disease
- Pest and disease control based on integrated pest management principles;
- Adopt to safe and effective use of pesticides and herbicides in compliant with sustainable practices
- Support for Performance – Base Model
- Assist in designing the framework for the support mechanism
- Support development of monitoring and reporting systems
- Facilitate partnerships with service providers for irrigation solutions
- Monitor and evaluate the impact of interventions
- Assist farmers with access to agricultural inputs, including irrigation systems and farming inputs
- Community Engagement and GEDSI Promotion:
- Foster trust-building and engagement with indigenous groups, women, and marginalized farmers

- Maintain records of farmer participation, agreements, and support provided

- Selection Criteria:
- Relevant technical training or degree in agriculture, agronomy, or related fields.
- Proven experience in coffee farming practices and technical support roles
- Knowledge on agroforestry model
- Strong knowledge of sustainable farming practices, irrigation, soil health, pest management, and post-harvest handling
- Excellent communication and training skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with farmers, community leaders, NGOs, and government agencies

- The Technical Agricultural Extension Officer is expected to deliver the following:
- Provide comprehensive extension services to a minimum of 30 targeted coffee farmers, focusing on sustainable farming practices such as harvest management, irrigation, soil and fertilizer management, pest and disease control, and post-harvest handling.
- Signed agreements with at least 30 eligible households for support, including irrigation systems and farming inputs, ensuring clear documentation of commitments
- Deliver support and monitor progress in line with these agreements
- Prepare monthly reports and document farmer participation, training activities, and outcomes
- Foster community engagement, especially with indigenous groups, women, and marginalized farmers, promoting inclusion and environmental sustainability
- Support impact evaluation and compile a final report summarizing achievements, lessons learned, and recommendations
