Communications and Program Support Officer

GENERAL DESCRIPTION
- The primary function of the Communication and Program Support officer (C&PSO) is to help the Executive Team. Fulfill their communication in public relations responsibilities through translation/interpretation of document, training materials, in seminars, and provides assistance to visitors of Fountain of Hope (FOH) for better understanding about the work.
- The C&PSO Develop and maintain contacts with key stakeholders (eg. Donors, partners, development partners and others) with the direction of the Executive Team
- Verbal and w Verbal and written translation of relevant documents, report, case study, training materials, booklet, manual, and handouts.
- Provides simultaneous translation from Khmer into the English language and vice versa, ensuring that crucial details and the substance of the communication/discussion are not lost. Able to clearly express ideas and thoughts.
- Translates documents, assessment, survey, reports, letters and other relevant correspondences from English to Khmer and vice versa.
- Provides simultaneous translation and interpretation between Khmer and English and vice versa during meetings, workshops, trainings and ceremonies; etc.
- Provides assistance, orientation, coordination and hospitality to donors, agency, guests and partners on behalf of Executive Team. as required (based on working hours).
- Ensure the reports and proposals of all the FOH Programmed are completed properly and on time, and sent to donors,
- Assist the resource development to gather the information as needed by FOH in the proposed development and to update the materials.
- Supervise short-term translation or internal translator for the short-term.
- Support for FOH website management, social media, and fundraising.
- Report monthly on work activities and submit a report to Executive Team.
- A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in related subjects preferably
- 2 years’ work experience in Communication
- Good knowledge of computer, word, excel, power point, slide presentation skills
- Good communication with high proficiency in both oral and written English and Khmer,
- In-depth knowledge of participatory research tools and methodologies
- Outgoing personality with good communication and training skills.
- Ability to be self-directed, creative, take initiative and anticipate changes that can affect the organization’s activities.
- Ability to perform tasks in accordance to FOH organizational values.
