Communications and Media Officer
The Officer will enhance CDRI's communication strategies, engage with stakeholders, and promote the institute's research and activities through various media channels.
- Develop and implement comprehensive communication strategies to promote CDRI's research findings, events, and activities.
- With the IT team, support monitoring CDRI's website and social media platforms to ensure timely and engaging content is shared with the public.
- Create high-quality written and visual content, including press releases, articles, reports, and multimedia materials.
- Coordinate with media outlets to increase CDRI's visibility and coverage in local and international press.
- Organise and publicise events, workshops, and conferences hosted by CDRI.
- Work closely with researchers and staff to identify communication opportunities and support their efforts in disseminating research findings.
- Monitor and analyse media coverage and social media engagement to assess the impact of CDRI's communication efforts.
- Develop relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, NGOs, media outlets, and the public.
- Bachelor's degree with five years of experience in Communication, Media Studies, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
- Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to create compelling content for various platforms.
- Experience managing social media platforms and digital communication tools.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.
- Knowledge of development issues in Cambodia and Southeast Asia is preferred.
- Fluency in Khmer and English is required
Human Resource Assistant
As an HR Assistant, you will be a part of our admin and operations unit, which works to implement human resource activities and objectives, generate an organizational culture focused on employee well-being and improved quality of work, maintain accurate records, and ensure activities and objectives. S/he will contribute to the achievement of CDRI's mission and strategic plan objectives by performing the following duties
- Assist the hiring manager in sourcing candidates and updating the staff database
- Work with the Communication and Impact Unit to post jobs on social networks, such as LinkedIn,
- Update employee records for existing employees, such as promotion, termination, and change of address.
- Keep employee files confidential (staffing, recruitment, training, grievances, performance evaluations, etc.).
- Assist line manager in recruitment processes
- Assist in updating staff manual and orientation tool kids and procedures documents for newly hired employees.
- Process documentation and assist the HR team with staff clearance and benefits
- Assist in response to staff requests and provide relevant information about human resources issues, rules and regulations.
- Coordinate communication with candidates and schedule interviews.
- Keep track of staff movement for clearance and handover.
- Provide relevant data, such as absences, holidays, sick leaves, and bonuses, to keep track and update.
- Bachelor’s in HR, management, or a related field.
- Minimum three years of experience as an HR Assistant or relevant field.
- Certification or diploma in fields such as Professional Human Resources
- Strong communication of verbal and written English language and people skills

Public Relations & Events Officer
This individual will design, plan, and execute various public relations events to enhance our organisation's reputation and promote our branding. S/he will contribute to the achievement of CDRI's mission and strategic plan objective.
- Plan and execute a variety of public relations events such as press conferences, media briefings, and other promotional activities
- Develop event concepts, themes, and strategies that align with the organisation's goals and objectives
- Manage all aspects of event logistics, including venue selection, vendor management, budgeting, and on-site coordination
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure seamless execution of events
- Coordinate media outreach and manage press relations before, during, and after events
- Analyse event performance and provide post-event reports and recommendations for future improvements
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to enhance event management strategies
- Coordinate and manage the flow of requests for partnerships, information, meetings, placements, internships, etc., from various organisations, consulting companies, academic institutions, scholars and students.
- Bachelor's degree and 5 years of related experience in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, or a related field.
- Proven experience in public relations, event management, or a related role
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
