Children's Services Coordinator
Contract Type: Full-time (Monday – Friday), Probation period of 3 months
Place of Work: Kompong Thmor, Kompong Thom
Expected Places of Travel: Intermittent overnight travel to other provinces as required
Salary: Negotiable – according to qualifications and experience
Conditions of employment:
This is a full-time position based at the ICC Children's Care Cambodia in Kompong Thmor. A competitive salary is offered, and it will depend on experience and qualifications.
As a Children's Services Co-Ordinator, the Program Manager and the Management Team will support and manage you.
Accommodation is available on site, at a minimal rate, if this is required by the successful candidate.
We are a child protection organization. Therefore, successful candidates will be asked to provide a criminal record and character check provided by the relevant authorities and sign on to our child protection policy.
- Manage a caseload of clients, children and community families, keeping accurate and confidential records;
- Support house parents in residential group homes;
- Develop re-integration plans, where possible, for children in residential care;
- Assess and support families with at-risk children;
- Coordinate external specialized services for children and families;
- Develop working relationships with government agencies and other stakeholders;
- Work professionally within project policies and codes of conduct, including those related to ethical social work practice, child protection and confidentiality;
- Facilitate/arrange awareness-raising workshops in the local communities;
- Play a meaningful and active role in team meetings;
- Take an active role in individual and group support meetings;
- Contribute to the development of project planning;
- Contribute to the continued development of social work tools and resources;
- A mature Christian with a strong commitment to Christian values and principles.
- A university bachelor’s degree in social work or a related field (psychology, sociology, health, education or community/international development) is preferable.
- A preference of two years working in a social service, NGO, or governmental organization providing similar services;
- Strong organizational skills, including those related to prioritizing, planning and management of casework.
- Must be pro-active in identifying and acting in work scope.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal in Khmer and English.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Must be willing to travel to other provinces from time to time to carry out family assessments.
- Computer skills (MS Office) essential.
