Cashier
The cashier will join the busy Payment Services Team at CIS’s Koh Pich Campus. The successful candidate will provide efficient, compliant day-to-day financial services for CIS families. This position would be suitable for a candidate with some accountancy experience who is keen to learn and progress in the field. Polished customer service skills are essential.
- Handle cash transactions and maintain transaction reports
- Collect and process income, including fees for tuition, extracurricular activities, lunches, uniforms, school bus and buggy services, etc.
- Collect fees for special events such as field trips and dress-down days involving donations
- Issue invoices, receipts, quotations, payment notices and vouchers
- Facilitate billing for all families at the end of each semester and at the end of the school year
- Follow up with accounts receivable from families
- Deposit funds and withdraw petty cash at the bank as needed
- Prepare inventory reports, including for student and staff uniforms, backpacks and other CIS merchandise
- Control and prepare Fixed Asset Movement Reports and support the fixed asset count
- Answer parent and vendor questions; request support from the Cashier Supervisor to answer queries as needed
- Maintain a tidy cashier check-out area
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the Cashier Supervisor, Finance Manager or Head of School
- Fulfill their role in promoting and safeguarding the welfare of all students in the school by:
- attending regular professional development child protection and safeguarding programs and signing a Code of Conduct
- reporting to the Designated or Deputy Safeguarding Lead any concerns they have for the welfare of a student
- Bachelor’s degree in finance and accounting
- At least 2 years of experience in accounting preferred
- Proficient in written and spoken English and Khmer
- Proficient in Google Workspace, internet use and email
- Strong interpersonal, communication and customer service skills
