The “Qualitative Impact Study of SMILE Training and Mentoring Support on Teacher–Student Interaction and Learner Engagement” (hereafter referred to as the SMILE Learning Study) aims to deepen understanding of how SMILE interventions unfold at the classroom level. More specifically, the main objectives of this study are:
- To understand how teachers apply classroom practices that promote learner engagement - and ultimately contribute to improving learner outcomes - after receiving training through the SMILE programme.
- To examine how mentoring support helps teachers implement these practices effectively.
