Finn Church Aid (FCA) is Finland’s largest organization for development cooperation and humanitarian assistance. FCA is a founding member of the international aid alliance of churches, ACT Alliance. We seek positive changes by supporting the most vulnerable people in fragile contexts. We specialize in supporting local communities’ right to peace, livelihoods, and quality education.
FCA has been working in Cambodia since the end of the 1970’s, providing humanitarian aid and supporting the development of livelihoods, quality education opportunities and youth participation for the poorest people, in partnership with local organizations. Currently the main donors for FCA’s Cambodia Country Programs are the Government of Finland, Government of Sweden (Sida) and private donors.
FCA Cambodia has collaborated with the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport (MoEYS) since 2014 in the creation and implementation of Career Guidance and Counselling (CGC) within the public formal education system. Since 2018, FCA Cambodia has extended collaboration to the National Employment Agency (NEA) of the Ministry of Labor and Vocational Training.
FCA in Cambodia is providing small grant scheme to youth group to take part in project implementation through their own initiative activity of the conducting research and community action.
Detailed Information about the Small Grants
Youth-led Research: the purpose of the small grant project is to support youth-led research to promote evidence-based advocacies. Individual or youth groups could get access to the small grants of the project through submitting their research proposal for the research project or collaborating with research institutions in requesting support.
Youth-led Action: the purpose of this grant is to support young people in Cambodia to take lead in their own initiatives to promote youth participation in solving the specific problems in their own communities as active citizen of Cambodia.
Location: Phnom Penh and other provinces
Criteria
Female youth, youth from rural areas, ethnic minority, LGBTIQ+ youth, and youth with disabilities are encouraged to apply
