Announcement Description

As part of the evaluation process for GNC's 2019–2023 Kaoh Nheaek Community Development Program (KN CDP), the Grant Department team conducted data collection with community members in Kaoh Nheaek, Mondulkiri Within the designated target areas of Kaoh Nheaek CDP, the data collection team actively collected primary data from direct and indirect beneficiaries through semi-structured interviews with households and students. Three main sectors were the focus of the data collection: Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH); Education; and Health. These interviews provide essential information for analyzing and evaluating the impacts of the CDP interventions on the community.

PURPOSE

The purpose of the interview transcription and translation service is to provide the GNC Grant Department team with textual data of all Khmer interview audio recordings in both Khmer and English to be analyzed for project evaluation.

SCOPE OF WORK

The selected service provider shall transcribe and translate all Khmer interview audio recordings provided by Good Neighbors Cambodia based on the guidelines and discussion with the Grant Department team.

The total number of interview audio recordings is 36 (approximately 15 hours)

DELIVERABLES

Expected Deliverables:

The service provider will have the overall responsibility for the quality and timely submission of all deliverables, as specified below:

  • 36 Khmer transcripts of interview audio recordings
  • 36 English translated transcripts of interview audio recording Khmer transcripts
  • All Final deliverables must be delivered to GNC by 25th April 2024

Bidder Eligibility

  • The potential Service Provider is required to meet the following minimum requirements to qualify for the submission of his/her proposal:
  • Be a professional Khmer/English transcription/translation company or freelancer’s team
  • Has proven track record of accurately transcribing audio recordings with high attention to detail in written Khmer format
  • Has proven track record of accurately and contextually translating Khmer to English text while preserving the full original meaning
  • Have samples of Khmer to English translation, transcription samples preferred

Submission of the Bid

  • Please submit your company or freelancer’s team CV and Cover Letter detailing your transcription and translation experience, 3 samples of Khmer to English translation, (1 Khmer transcription if possible), quotation or financial proposal, a copy of the tax registration number (If available) to email provided in the contact details.

Logistics

Good Neighbors Cambodia will not provide office space, computers, copying, printing and telephone services to the service provider, but facilities for the presentation of results to be made. Good Neighbors Cambodia will not also provide vehicles and the service provider needs to consider the details of the costs accordingly. Facilities for meetings between the service provider and GNC and the presentation of results to be made will be provided by GNC.

Others

  • The service provider will work closely with Good Neighbors Cambodia project team.
  • All relevant documents should be submitted to Good Neighbors Cambodia upon completion as soft versions.
  • The service provider should not share any of the interview audio recordings, data, transcriptions, translations or any information related to this assignment to any third party.
