Business Development Manager

Expectations - Duties, Responsibilities
  • The overall job description below outlines the main areas of responsibilities of the Employee:
  • Maximise revenue from non-health science enrolments
  • Maximise revenue from UP’s health centre
  • Manage UP’s international relationships and maximise enrolments in these programs
  • Maximise value from UP’s MOUs and agreements
  • These duties also include
  • Establish clear performance targets and objectives with the delivery of UPs Commercial strategy
  • Create and review UPs’ value propositions and unique selling points (USPs), obtain and capitalize on revenue opportunities across multi-channels
  • Develop Business development from Health Centres
  • Increase students’ enrolments and manage Alumni and Student volunteers to maximize revenue opportunities
  • Identify and manage Sponsorships, commercial partners or other routes to market to maximize revenue and reputation success
  • Work with faculties to develop Commercial Opportunities particularly Continued Professional Development, new courses and commercial contracts
  • Engage with stakeholders to reach a shared understanding of the developing context for commercial services and the opportunities to drive a significant increase in commercial revenue
  • With others, identify new and emerging commercial opportunities and drive business development activity to capitalize on emerging opportunities
  • Maintain a broad network of contacts and to represent UP at networking events and conferences Quickly develop a good understanding of the UP research capabilities and commercial opportunities and be able to explain these to potential collaborators or develop them for commercial gain
  • And perform other duties as assigned by the President
Requirements - Skills, Qualifications, Experience
  • Experience:
  • At least 3 years Sales / Business Development experience
  • Significant experience of managing and leading commercial projects
  • Good knowledge/previous experience of current approaches to education
  • Experience commercial environment in Cambodia or similar country would be highly regarded
  • Education:
  • Bachelor’s (Masters preferred) degree in commercial or similar qualification
  • A successful track record of developing and launching new commercial initiatives resulting in income and surplus/profit growth and diversification
  • Experience of developing sales and marketing campaigns designed to maximize profit
  • Knowledge of Cambodia higher education is preferred
  • Experience of the Business/science/ICT industries is preferred
  • A successful track record of developing partnerships with international partners is preferred.
  • Skills/Competencies:
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work as a team
  • Excellent oral and written command of English.
  • Oral and written command of Khmer would be highly regarded

Health Center Manager

Position Summary

Position Summary:

  • To market and run the UPHC as a successful business
  • To oversee the effective and efficient day to day management of the UP Health Center
  • To enhance the training of UP students and oversee the provision of high quality services to the public
Expectations - Duties, Responsibilities
  • The overall job description below outlines the main areas of responsibilities of the Employee:
  • Work with Marketing Department and UP Dental Business Manager to promote the UPHC through UP website, Facebook pages, media, signage, promotions etc in order to recruit more patients and clients at the Pharmacy, Medical Clinic and Dental Hospital
  • Provide monthly & annual reports to the Deans of Medicine, Pharmacy and Dentistry including on outputs, income, expenditure, challenges, events, visitors, patient numbers, marketing etc.
  • Work with procurement to purchase instruments and materials, and organize maintenance of equipment
  • Work with Finance Department related to budget, MoUs, salaries, contracts, commissions, income from courses etc.
  • Work with HR related to recruiting staff, tutor lists, contracts, tutor and staff timetables, leave etc.
  • Coordinate with Admin team regarding facility maintenance and repairs etc.
  • Work with faculties to monitor the supervision of the clinical practice of students
  • Monitor the performance of teaching staff (lecturers, tutors etc.) in the UPHC and provide effective feedback to Faculties
  • Monitor the performance of healthcare professionals providing treatment or services for patients/clients in the UPHC
  • Monitor the performance of the UPHC staff
  • Maintain excellent communication with all staff including dentists, doctors, pharmacists, staff, students, assistants, receptionists, cleaners and patients
  • Create a safe & productive working environment for staff, students and patients
  • Manage the daily operations of the Health Center
  • Work closely with the dental hospital manager(s) so that the dental services provided across both
  • Dental Hospitals are standardized, and the management of both is well integrated
  • Participate in relevant meetings in the Faculties of Pharmacy, Dentistry and Medicine
  • Arrange weekly staff meetings for each part of the UPDH
  • Conduct staff evaluations each semester
  • Regularly meet with students to discuss issues
  • Work with the Dentistry Business Development Manager to organize and run postgraduate and CPD courses which have a clinical component, including orthodontics courses (including the new Master of Orthodontics), implant courses, and some CPD courses.

Security Guard

Position Summary

Position Summary:

  • To patrol and protect both people and the properties on the university’s premise to ensure they are safe or not exposed to any risk of security
  • To ensure that the university access is full of operation without having exposure to safety risk in the area he is assigned for.

  • Patrol and safeguard the university’s premises and it members while they are on campuses
  • Provide and control access to classrooms, office and other parts of the university premises to students and staff upon assignment from supervisors
  • Be of the assistance for any logistic services and other event preparations for event arrangement, meeting, office moving or asset relocation
  • Report any possible problems of security risks, or violent accidents, classrooms and office inaccessibility and other relevant issues of the work assigned to ensure the safety for the university and its member

Pharmacy Lecturer

Position Summary

Position Summary:

  • Provide high-quality, evidence-based, student-centered, theoretical and practical education in accordance with MOH & MoEYS Pharmacy curriculum requirements to ensure that UP Pharmacy graduates as competent, qualified and professional pharmacist.
  • Develop standard course outlines, course books and reference books of teaching courses according to guidelines or policies of MoH and MoEYS.
  • Ensure a standard and effective evaluation of lecturers’ teaching performance in Department of Pharmacy

  • Review curriculum of clinical pharmacy with consideration of MoH and MOEYS requirements.
  • Review course outlines of clinical pharmacy in program of pharmacy.
  • Teach (at least 22 hours/week) in the field of clinical pharmacy, Applied Pharmacology Therapeutic Chemistry, and Integrated course based on standard course outlines, ensuring they are evidence based, continually updated and linked in with other relevant courses and will develop higher levels of students’ learning.
  • Develop research activities related chemical matters (protocols, research center, personnel, equipment etc) by cooperating with internal and external partners.

Clinical Nursing Lecturer

Position Summary

  • Provide high‐quality, evidence‐based, student‐centered, theoretical and practical education in accordance with MOH nursing curriculum requirements to ensure that UP nursing graduates practice as competent, compassionate, and safe nursing professionals.
  • Build and maintain relationships and networks with hospitals/ health centers/community to further develop quality student practicum.

  • The overall job description below outlines the main areas of responsibility of the Employee:
  • Plan and teach courses (theory and practice) and develop course outlines ensuring they are evidence based, continually updated and linked in with other relevant courses and will develop higher levels of learning of students.
  • Coordinate community practicum across the programs according to MOH curriculum guidelines.
  • Work closely with clinical team in planning clinical monitoring of students in practicum to ensure students receive regular clinical follow up.
  • Assist in process of allocation of students to practicum according to annual practicum schedule.
  • Monitor students in practicum, working closely with preceptors and other staff in the hospitals/health centers, ensuring a high level of competency of UP students.
  • Work closely with team members to ensure relevant practicum documentation processes are completed.
  • Assist in implementation of TP and other internal student practice requirements according to curriculum guidelines.
  • Actively participate in nursing research activity, be a professional role model for students and undertake professional development appropriate to role.
  • Carry out exam and other academic processes required liaising with Academic Affairs and other UP departments as necessary.
