Business Development and Project Manager
The Business development and Project Manager (BDPM) is expected to oversee and/or support the pipeline and portfolio development as well as the implementation of awarded projects until their successful completion. In addition and as deemed suitable, the BDPM will lead, manage and coordinate the pursuit of new opportunities and submission of high quality and successful bids.
- Supporting NIRAS Asia portfolio growth primarily in Cambodia by:
- Participating in NIRAS Asia’s market coordination and pipeline tracking in coordination with other colleagues;
- Supporting bids and proposals from identification through to submission;
- Administration of internal tools for managing the project pipeline and experts' database
- You may also be expected to other tasks not specified above, but which may come as your role at NIRAS evolves.
- Ensuring successful delivery of quality services by:
- Managing and/or assisting in the management of ongoing or newly awarded projects, including: technical, operational and financial viability , client reporting; partner and expert management; application of NIRAS management systems and QA procedures;
- Coordinating internal and external communications and visibility with NIRAS communications team;
- Ensuring client and project team satisfaction;
- To ensure you’re a suitable candidate, we would like you to hold the following:
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in an academic area relevant to NIRAS’ work (e.g. international relations, economics, business administration, environmental studies, social sciences, engineering, agriculture);
- 5+ years of relevant work experience in the consulting sector, preferably in Cambodia;
- Experience in project management for international development financiers;
- Demonstrated experience with NIRAS’ key clients, such as AFD, ADB, EU, WB and/or other development partners;
- Strong business acumen, with a growth mindset and entrepreneurial spirit;
- Experience preferably in NIRAS’ core sectors including but not limited to: agriculture, natural resources management, environment, climate change, agriculture, water and urban development, institutional development, MEL
- Excellent written and oral English and Khmer language skills;
- Outstanding attitude and work ethic, accustomed to working under pressure towards tight deadlines
- A 100% team player, with demonstrated ability to work autonomously and taking initiative with success.
