Big Data Consultant (1 Position)
Position Summary Expectations - Duties, Responsibilities
Project Objective : The objective for this assignment is to help AMK to improve and optimize current data capturing, data structuring, data processing and analysis on those data to allow management to take proactive and inform decision making.
Project Duration: AMK expects Consultant to provide the detailed timeline and plan to complete this project and deliver the expected outcomes.
Report to : Chief Executive Officer
Location : AMK-Head Office
Note:
- Consultant will report to CEO for the duration of agreement.
- The consultant is expected to sit and work full-time at AMK office with AMK team.
- Review overall company data set to:
- Identify and develop data source mapping: Develop data map that shows each source of each dataset, structure of dataset, and function of each dataset (e.g. what kind of information each dataset store? How is it overlap with one another?). This includes internal and external data.
- Develop data relationship mapping: Develop the connection/relation between each dataset to combine/connect all dataset that allows AMK to easily cross tabulate between each dataset. Then, indicate the number of variables of each dataset,
- and review the data dictionary of those variables plus improve the dictionary if needed.
- Work with the team to map out data cleaning and data quality assurance procedure. Then, identify the current shortfall in data quality assurance, and propose improvement technique.
- Work closely with relevant technical and business teams to:
- Selecting and/or evaluating the data extraction, ETL and reporting tools and processes. The Consultant shall provide the recommendation and best practices.
- Liaise with relevant team to review and restructure the data dictionary and data structure, build proper data warehouse.
- The data warehouse shall be able to retrieve data from multiple sources at least but not limited to Core Banking System (Temenos T24), Switching, Leasing System, Loan Origination System, Research files, CBC files, and Research data.
- The Consultant shall provide recommendation and work in implementation of predictive analysis tools so that AMK can adapt AI and ML for its data.
- The Consultant shall provide recommendation and work in implementation of the Data Visualization.
- Reporting tool shall be able to respond to Top management including C-Level, middle management, and field staffs to be able to track their real time report for operation, forecasting for strategy planning, and getting historical data for other analysis.
- Review the existing data storage, data encryption, data transmission and provide recommended security practice for data protection.
- Provide recommendation on state-of-the-art data architecture and roadmap for AMK to be able to adapt with new technology (including but not limited to AI, ML and cloud based data warehouse) in next 3-5 years from now on.
- Deliverables:
- Completion of the data extraction from different sources including but not limited to Core Banking System, Switching System (different channels including Agent, Mobile, Merchant, ATM/CDM, Tellers), Leasing System, Loan Origination System, Micro Insurance System, CBC data, Research data.
- Delivery of the data warehouse that store and connect AMK data from different data sources
- From data entry point, storage, cleaning and processing, labelling, codebook/dictionary etc., and
- Provide the document on data dictionary (showing the plan/map that AMK relevant staff can easily understand where all the data is stored, what type of information in each dataset, what is the definition of each variable, how the data is connected together.
- Delivery of the data visualization (BI) tool which allows AMK to get the real-time or near real time reports and dashboard for different level of users which include but not limited to analytical reporting
- Train AMK’s team to be able to handle the work fully.
- Provide guideline step-by-step on how to handle, manage, and update data warehouse. This includes but not limited to (1) documentation on how each step of each deliverable was conducted or implemented (2) update codebook or data dictionary (3)
- provide the comprehensive documentation on big data strategy for the organization to adapt with the predictive analysis approach including AI and ML.
- Degree in data science, or technology or related discipline
- Experience working on big data project or similar project
- Have business experience as well as sound technical knowledge of big data tools/technologies and statistical tools
- Experience dealing with large data with good data analytical skill and data visualization
- Be able to deliver clear and concise presentations to Management regarding the big data project
- Good interpersonal skills, ability to relate well to others
- Good communication in English (written and spoken)
