Audit Manager

This position is fixed-term contract, based in Phnom Penh Office
S/he assists the partners with the management of the audit department. Taking a lead role in running a portfolio of clients, managing the relationships and reviewing multiple client files across various industry sectors. Improving the internal processes of the audit department, including running the scheduling of engagements and developing and mentoring our more junior staff. Taking the lead in proposals and assisting the partners with growing the firm.
- Assist the Partner in drawing up the Department’s calendar to ensure the even distribution of work and staff assignments throughout the year
- Initiates and supervises the preparation of Engagement Proposals and Engagement Letters
- Assists the Partners in the Engagement Acceptance process or Engagement re-acceptance process
- Initiates Engagement planning activities and ensures that planning activities are executed on a timely manner and in accordance with the Auditing Standards and Firm policies
- Takes responsibility and reviews over tailoring of work programs
- Takes responsibility over the selection of Engagement Team members and Engagement forecast and time lines
- Liaises with Client’s Management for smooth flow of audit work and ensures that good working relationship is maintained at all times
- Initiates and assists the Engagement Partner in performing risk assessments, establishing the audit objectives and setting the overall scope
- Ensures proper execution of Engagement plans by conducting timely review of work completed by Audit Engagement Team members, and discussing issues with appropriate Client personnel in a timely manner. In most cases, reviews should be conducted in the field
- Brings appropriate matters to the Engagement Partner's attention, including actions taken, notable information, and matters for the Engagement Partner's decision
- Informs the Engagement Partner promptly (during the audit and throughout the year) of Client developments and auditing or accounting problems requiring the Engagement Partner's action
- Monitors actual time charges against approved budget and initiates appropriate action to resolve any potential or actual problems
- Reviews drafts of Financial Statements and Audit reports for financial audits, and reports on findings and recommendations for other Engagements
- Being a champion for the rollout out of our new audit software (Inflow)
- CPA and ACCA qualified and KICPAA active member is more favorable.
- Experience in auditing at least 6 years
- Advisory or IT audit experience is a bonus
- Strong technical knowledge and skill in auditing

Audit Associates

This position is fixed-term contract, based in Phnom Penh Office
S/he provides audit service to clients of VCA to ensure working papers and supporting audit document with high quality and timely manner.
- Handle directly with clients to ensure all financial information and documents are authentic and accurate
- Assist audit team to manage both soft and hard copies of audit documents for his/her assigned clients to ensure proper file and store for future references.
- Support the planning, execution and delivery of assurance engagements.
- Clearly and accurately document the execution of specific audit, tax and account procedures as defined by the engagement objectives, client’s engagement history, and planned audit approach.
- Work diligently with the Managers to ensure reporting deadlines are met.
- Degree in accounting or relevant/or a professional qualification (e.g. BBA, ACCA).
- At least has 1 year audit experience
- Ability to work in a high-pressure environment and tight deadlines
- Excellence command of spoken and written English
