Assistant Manager
Duties, Responsibilities
Expectations - - Operation Management:
- support the Hotel Manager in managing all aspects of hotel operations, including front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, and food and beverage services.
- Ensure smooth daily operations and resolve operational issues promptly.
- Monitor and maintain the property’s quality and cleanliness standards.
- Guest Relations:
- Ensure an excellent guest experience by addressing complaints, requests, and inquiries effectively.
- Actively engage with guests to gather feedback and improve service quality.
- Manage special requests or VIP services to enhance guest satisfaction.
- Staff Supervision and Development:
- Supervise and motivate staff to meet and exceed performance expectations.
- Assist in recruiting, training, and scheduling team members.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
- Financial and Administrative Support:
- Assist in preparing and managing budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.
- Oversee cost controls and monitor inventory for supplies and amenities.
- Support the Manager with payroll, invoices, and other financial processes.
- Sales and Marketing Support:
- Collaborate on strategies to increase occupancy and revenue, including promotions and packages.
- Maintain relationships with travel agents, tour operators, and local businesses.
- Ensure the property is well-represented on online booking platforms and social media.
- Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure adherence to local laws, regulations, and hotel policies.
- Monitor health and safety practices, including fire safety and emergency procedures.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure all facilities are well-maintained.
- At least 2 years of experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a guest-focused mindset.
- Proficiency in hotel management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong communication skills in English (additional languages are a plus).
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.
