Artist Business Manager

Position Summary

Schedule: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Monday-Friday)

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Sales and Client Relations
  • Revenue Growth: Meet and exceed sales targets through proactive lead generation and relationship management.
  • Client Management: Act as the primary point of contact for existing clients while identifying and securing new business opportunities.
  • Proposal Development: Design and develop high-impact sales materials and project proposals.
  • Market Intelligence: Stay updated on industry trends and conduct research to refine sales strategies.
  • Field Engagement: Travel for face-to-face client meetings and networking.
  • Artist Management and Development
  • Career Consultation: Advise artists on marketing strategies, performance quality, and public image to ensure brand alignment.
  • End-to-End Coordination: Manage artist schedules and oversee all show logistics from "A to Z."
  • Emotional Support: Monitor the artist's well-being and provide a balanced, supportive environment.
  • Project Production: Act as a producer for small-scale projects (e.g., Music Videos) and execute plans that align with the artist’s vision.
  • Problem Solving: Act as a mentor and guide to resolve artist-related issues and manage crisis communication.
  • TNL (Talent and Contestant Oversight)
  • Talent Assessment: Evaluate contestant strengths and marketability to create individualized growth roadmaps (Top 3 and potential talent).
  • Brand Positioning: Guide artists on branding within the competitive hip-hop and rap market.
  • Commercial Strategy: Review brand deals, oversee show income, and manage external partner communications.
  • Culture and Mentorship: Maintain a disciplined, professional working culture and mentor junior Artist Managers/Coordinators.
  • Production and Creative Alignment
  • Internal Liaison: Act as the key bridge between the artist and the production team.
  • Supplier Management: Source and manage external vendors and suppliers for shoots and events.
  • Brand Integrity: Ensure all produced content and concepts remain strictly aligned with the artist’s branding and client expectations.
  • Contractual and Service Logistics
  • Negotiation: Lead contract negotiations between clients, artists, and legal teams.
  • On-Site Support: Assist artists during live shows, recordings, and photo shoots.
  • Resource Management: Secure barter deals (e.g., accommodation/travel) for provincial tours and events.
  • Operations, Finance, and Admin
  • Project Management: Oversee project timelines, progress, and expenses from inception to completion.
  • Financial Oversight: Manage payment requests, ensure timely collection of show fees from clients, and issue internal invoices.
  • Reporting: Maintain detailed artist records and prepare annual income reports.
