Agriculture Development Facilitator - MAFF-CS-41 (2 Positions)

Candidates must hold a Cambodian Identification Card;
Ref. No. MAFF-CS-41: One ADF based at Koul Commune, Prasat Sambour District, Kampong Thom Province, and one ADF Tum Ring Commune, Sandan District, Kampong Thom Province.
Expected Contract Start: As soon as possible
Contract Duration: 10months, possible to extend. Initial 3-month probationary period.
- Communicating with all levels of project staffs, consultants, project concerned parties and local authorities to coordinate and facilitate of all agricultural activities included community development, farmers trainings, project missions and other tasks provided by the project;
- ADF will support and participate in Agri-Ecosystem Analysis (AEAs), and agricultural land suitability study exercises;
- ADF will provide regular technical backstopping and monitoring to Village Extension Workers (VEWs)/Village Animal Health Workers (VAHWs) and run farmer field school (FFS), farmer business school (FBS) and farmer market school (FMS);
- ADF will coordinate, supports and facilitate the establishment of Farmer Organizations (FOs) (i.e. producer organizations, processing groups, agricultural marketing groups, rice banks, savings and credit / revolving fund groups, etc.);
- ADF will work with VEWs/VAHWs to develop and implement plans for model plots/farm planning and their respective business plans in support of agricultural extension functions;
- ADF will ensure the technical compliance of training services by private service providers at the request of the Provincial Department of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (PDAFFs) and the Agriculture, Natural Resources and Environment Office (ANREO);
- ADF is recommended to involve in monitoring and reporting on the status of agricultural activities, agricultural challenges, farmer concerns and farmer feedback;
- ADF is recommended directly to facilitate to the farmers filed schools conducting in some demonstration sites and to ensure that all the participants of FFSs adopt and adapt to demonstration techniques and apply these techniques in their own plots;
- In addition, ADF will directly assist and facilitate all the tasks and mission provided by the LASED III project;
- ADF assists the famer and community to facilitate the meetings and discussions with key stakeholders, including private sectors, donors and NGOs that have supported agriculture activities.
- Bachelor's Degree in agronomy, animal health science, rural/community development or other relevant fields. The outstanding graduated students are encouraged to apply
- At least working experience in agriculture and rural/community development, social development, with government institutions, UN and/or NGOs for 2 years
- Experience working with landless and land-poor people, indigenous communities and vulnerable groups in rural areas in enhancing the livelihood improvement; experience working on SLC/ICLT related issues is an advantage;
- Preferably the applicants had been trained in facilitation

- Candidate should have own transports, laptops and willing to stay and work in IC/SLC areas of project sites/communities with strong commitment to help poor peoples, willing to perform all tasks provided by the project.
