Agriculture Development Facilitators (2 Positions)

Ref. No. MAFF-CS-52: One ADF based in Ou Chra and Hkati villages, Srae Preah Commune, Kaev Seima District, and one ADF based in Pu Trom village, Sangkat Romonea, Saen Monourom Municipality, and Pu Tru village, Saen Monourom Commune, Ou Reang District, Mondul Kiri Province.
Expected Contract Start: As soon as possible
Contract Duration: 12 Months, possible to extend. Initial 3-month probationary period.
- Coordinate, facilitate and maintain relations with producers, traders, exporters, buyers and related public - private sector institutions/organizations in support to the target group;
- Assist Project Technical Working Group at the national and provincial levels in the design and implementation of market linkage initiatives to assist smallholder farmers in promoting and selling their products in the market domestically or internationally;
- Assist Project Technical Working Group in arranging meetings with input suppliers and buyers of agricultural produce of smallholders;
- Any other tasks assigned by the Project Technical Working Group and Project Coordinating Management relating to market access development and public-private sector engagement.
- Review provincial agriculture development and reporting.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual progress reports related to agriculture development in the provincial department.
- Communicate with all levels of project staffs, consultants, project concerned parties and local authorities to coordinate and facilitate of all project activities included infrastructure
- Provide support to SLC villages and/or SLC committees to establish the infrastructure repair and maintenance committees to ensure that the committees keep well-functioning.
- Prepare the progress report on the status of agriculture development activities and directly to facilitate to the farmer field schools conducting in some demonstration sites and to ensure that all the participants of farmer field schools adopt and adapt to demonstrated techniques and apply these techniques in their own plots.
- Directly assist and facilitate all the tasks and mission provided by the Project Coordinating Management and Project Technical Working Group of LASED III Project.
- English - Good
- Bachelor's Degree in or At least graduated an Associate DegreeAgriculture and Rural Community Development or other relevant fields.
- At least experience of working in agriculture and rural development with the Government institutions, UN and/or NGOs for 2 years
- The outstanding graduated students are encouraged to apply;
- Experience working with landless and land-poor people and vulnerable groups in rural areas in enhancing the livelihood improvement;
- Preferably the applicants had been trained in facilitation and coordination skills;
- Good of English communication skills, written and spoken.
- Availability and willingness to undertake visits to the target communes
