Advocacy and Networking Coordinator
East-West Management Institute, Inc. (EWMI) invites Cambodian nationals to apply for the position of Advocacy and Networking Coordinator for a five-year USAID-funded civil society project in Cambodia. The Advocacy and Networking Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing, implementing, and coordinating a variety of programs, stakeholders, partners, and activities to strengthen long-term planning to advance reforms and improve access to learning, networking, and exchange programs. This would include, among other things, planning, outreach, data collection, and coordination with CSOs.
- This position is for a Cambodian national.
- Bachelor or Graduate degree in international development, social science, business, law, communication, or related field.
- At least 7 years of demonstrated experience coordinating large and complex or international programs, including on civic engagement, advocacy, and among others, civil society.
- Good understanding of civil society organizations in Cambodia and its development context.
- Good understanding of CSOs alliance/networking in Cambodia and in the region.
- Solid communication, interpersonal, negotiation, and relationship management skills and experience.
- Demonstrated experience in building and maintaining relationships and networks with individuals, communities, development partners and other relevant stakeholders.
- Professional fluency in English and Khmer
Resource Mobilization and Partnership Advisor
Overall responsibilities:
The Resource Mobilization and Partnership Advisor is a key position for this Activity and will manage and lead a critical technical component of the Activity. The Resource Mobilization and Partnership Advisor will be responsible for resource mobilization initiatives, such as crowdfunding campaigns, fundraising, and building partnerships with the private sector. This position will train and support civil society organizations (CSO)on resource diversification and mobilization to help them become more sustainable organizations.
- Required qualifications:
- This position is for a Cambodian national.
- Bachelor or Graduate degree in international development, social science, business, law, communication, or related field.
- At least 7 years of demonstrated experience in managing programs including on engagement with the private sector and fundraising.
- Good understanding of resource mobilizations from civil society groups in other Asia-Pacific contexts.
- Demonstrated experience in capacity building initiatives for CSOs, community- based organizations, and grassroots groups.
- Desired qualifications:
- Significant relevant experience in project management and working with technical/programmatic teams.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Contribute to monitoring and evaluation; program communications; and program reporting, including the development and implementation of the Activity’s annual work plans, semi-annual progress reports, and other requests that may come in from the donor.
- Ability to lead a diverse group of team members and integrate an inclusive perspective in the key areas of the technical component.
- Professional fluency in English both oral and written is required. Proficiency in Khmer language skills preferred.
- Experience and/or familiarity with USAID projects and programs preferred.
Capacity Strengthening Coordinator
The position is for USAID/Civil Society Resilience in Cambodia
Overall responsibilities:
The Capacity Strengthening Coordinator is the key position for this Activity and will manage and lead a critical technical component of the Activity. The Capacity Strengthening Coordinator will be responsible for providing structured learning opportunities for civil society organizations (CSO) and creating learning forums to build greater solidarity and support. This would include, among other things, developing advocacy toolkits, providing practical tips for implementation advocacy initiatives, creating high-impact programing, building advocacy campaigns, and organizational capacity development.
- Required qualifications:
- This position is for a Cambodian national.
- Bachelor or Graduate degree in international development, social science, business, law, communication, or related field.
- At least 7 years of demonstrated experience in managing programs including on training CSOs, curriculum development, and organizational capacity development.
- Good understanding of CSOs in Cambodia and its development context.
- Demonstrated experience in capacity building initiatives for CSOs, community-based organizations, and grassroots groups.
- Solid communication, interpersonal, negotiation, and relation management skills and training of trainers’ programs.
- Familiarity with USAID’s Local Capacity Strengthening Policy and related principles of effective and equitable capacity strengthening.
- Desired qualifications:
