Position Summary

Department: Finance and Accounting

Reports To: Directors

Summary: Mekhala Radiant Communications Co., Ltd. is seeking a dedicated and experienced Accountant/Tax professional to contribute to the daily operations of its accounting department. This role involves providing financial insights to support decision-making and participating in strategic financial planning. The ideal candidate will be responsible for a range of accounting and tax-related duties, ensuring compliance and efficient financial management.

Scope of Work:

Objective: The Accountant/Tax Consultant will be responsible for managing and overseeing aspects of the accounting department's daily operations, providing financial insights to support decision-making, and participating in strategic planning.

Expectations - Duties, Responsibilities
  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Invoicing and Payments: Review all invoices prepared by the Administrative Assistant or any other applicable staff prior to them being sent out to clients. Follow-up and facilitate collection of payments or provide instructions to the Administrative Assistant in pursuance thereof. Facilitate the preparation of quotations for clients and invoices for both clients and suppliers in accordance with applicable formats mandated by law and/or regulatory guidelines. Review supplier invoices to the payment pending list and upload payment instructions to the corporate banking account for review by the Management.
  • Bookkeeping and Reconciliation: Regularly review the payment pending list for supplier invoice updates, perform bookkeeping tasks in QuickBooks, and conduct bank reconciliation and accounting closing.
  • Payroll and Benefits Management: Calculate staff salary, NSSF, and Pension fund, prepare salary slips, and any other related activities.
  • Tax Management: Prepare monthly tax payments, review tax documents from the agency, assist external firms with annual tax declaration (TOI), and prepare and submit the Report to ACAR. The manager may be required to take over tasks currently handled by an external agency in the future.
  • Flexible Work Arrangement: The company will provide a workspace, but the employee may also choose to work remotely at their discretion, provided it aligns with the needs and objectives of the Company. The employee shall also be responsible for the instruction and supervision of the Administrative Assistant.
  • Ministry Of Labour And Vocational Training: Labour law compliance, reporting Labour movement (employee in-out)
  • Foreigner Employee: Preparing immigration paperwork for foreign employees
  • Deliverables: The Accountant/Tax Consultant will be expected to deliver regular financial reports, tax documents, and other relevant financial documents. The specific format and frequency of these reports will be agreed upon after the contract is signed.
  • Timeline: The Accountant/Tax Consultant will be expected to complete tasks in a timely manner. Specific deadlines will be set for larger tasks, while ongoing tasks will be expected to be completed on a continuous basis.
  • Resources: The Accountant/Tax Consultant will be provided with the necessary resources to complete their tasks, including access to accounting software, office supplies, and a workspace.
  • Reporting: The Accountant/Tax Consultant will report directly to Partner and will be expected to work closely with other members of the management team.
  • Changes to Scope of Work: The employer reserves the right to make reasonable changes to the scope of work at their discretion. The Accountant/Tax Consultant will be expected to adapt to these changes and continue to deliver high-quality work.
Requirements - Skills, Qualifications, Experience
  • Bachelor of Accounting and Finance or Bachelor of Business or related bachelor degree.
  • 2 - 5 years of experience in an accounting or tax-related role.
  • Proficiency in using MS Office applications like MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint etc.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, fluency in English and Khmer is essential.
  • Ability to think strategically, problem-solve creatively, and translate client needs into actionable plans (Derived from similar roles within the company).
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and resourceful with a strong sense of initiative.
 
 

Administrative Assistant

Position Summary

Department: Finance and Accounting

Reports To: Account Director / Senior Account Manager

Summary:

Mekhala Radiant Communications Co., Ltd. is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to support its finance operations. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth and efficient processing of financial documentation and providing essential administrative support to the accounting team and partners.

  • Prepare invoices for suppliers
  • Prepare invoices for clients
  • Send invoices to suppliers for signature (via Docusign or in person)
  • Checking invoices from suppliers
  • Update payment listings
  • Prepare agreements
  • Working with MOLVT (update staff in and out; request workbook, quote & work permit)
  • Scan documents
  • Other assistance as and when required to the accountant in charge and partners
Requirements - Skills, Qualifications, Experience
  • Bachelor of Accounting and Finance or Bachelor of Business or related bachelor degree
  • Fresh graduates or 0-2 years of experience are encouraged to apply.
  • Proficient in using MS Office applications like MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint etc.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, fluency in English and Khmer is essential
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and resourceful with a strong sense of initiative.
