About the job
As the Academic Office Assistant of HOPE International School, you will be responsible for a wide range of administrative and organizational tasks that ensure the effective functioning of HOPE’s Academic Office.
You will work closely together with the Academic Office Coordinator to provide excellent administrative support to the Campus Principal, Deputy Principals and Guidance Counselor, as well as assist students, parents and HOPE’s academic staff.
You will often be called on (at short notice) for assistance, answers and information, so you need to be flexible, able to cope with disruptions and able to prioritize your tasks well.
You will be well organized, efficient, a great communicator, enjoy working with people and able to juggle competing demands while maintaining a sense of humour, energy and a welcoming smile.

Reports to: Academic Office Coordinator
Responsible for: No direct reports
Additional Information
- You will need to be flexible, as this role will occasionally involve work outside the normal school hours.
- Your employment with HOPE International School is subject to a satisfactory, current police/background check from your country of residence.
- You will need to agree to and uphold the HOPE International School’s Child Protection policy and all other employment, finance and administrative policies.
- If newly appointed to this position, a probationary period of 3 months will apply.
Salary, Benefits and Allowances
Salary and benefits are in accordance with HOPE International School’s Khmer staff salary structure
- Assist the Academic Office Coordinator in a wide range of tasks to ensure the daily operations of the Academic Office are efficient and run smoothly
- Responding to emails / phone inquiries on behalf of the Academic Office and support the clear flow of communications between students, parents and academic staff
- Research and source/purchase resources required for HOPE’s academic programs
- Cover classes when teachers are absent due to illness or professional development.
- Support the Academic Office Coordinator and academic staff with planning and coordinating special school events including assemblies, Camp Week, Sports Day, art shows, musicals and school trips
- Plan events and help to coordinate all of the academic programs.
- Complete a range of administrative tasks related to the academic process (including updating Sycamore with student and family information, composing correspondence, producing transcripts and school reports)
- Process relevant permission forms for school excursions and sports events
- Maintaining records and comprehensive instructions (desk file) for your position’s key tasks, roles and responsibilities
- Any other tasks or projects as directed by supervisor or Principals

- Qualifications and experience
- It is required that you will have:
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar administrative type role
- Strong ICT skills including advanced knowledge and experience of Office software, Zoom, Google suite and have the skills to set up and troubleshoot ICT equipment
- A Bachelor degree in a relevant field is preferred
