From a livingroom passion project to a beloved local brand, Cambodia Knits (CK) is a rapidly growing social enterprise that believes in the ability of women to break the intergenerational cycles of poverty.
We believe fairly-paid employment is an empowering way out of poverty when it works within the constraints communities face, and it’s our mission to provide 2500 Cambodian women with fairly-paid,
flexible employment, by 2026.
We provide free training in knitting and crochet skills to women who have few other options for employment, including the illiterate elderly, and mothers who have to balance childcare and household duties. Once trained, they are able to work as much or as little as they like, when it suits their schedule.
These women are transformed into artisans, producing beautiful, high-quality, and unique hand-knit products that are sold, and loved, around the world.
