The Maryknoll Deaf Development Programme (DDP) has been operating in Cambodia since 1997. Our goal is to help deaf people be accepted, respected, and included as equals in all aspects of Cambodian society. We have six projects: Basic Education, Job Training, Sign Language Interpreting, Sign Language Development, Social Services, and Deaf Community Development. DDP has offices in Phnom Penh, Kampong Cham, and Kampot.
We are looking for one person to fulfill one position to be based in Phnom Penh

Nature of the position
The Office Administrator leads the administration department of the Deaf Development Programme, and is responsible for all administrative duties for the organization, and for assisting the Program Manager and Program Directors.

Duties + Requirements
Office Administrator
  • Receptionist duties and being the first point of contact for visitors
  • Maintaining adequate office and other supplies for administration
  • Responsible with the accountant for inventory and keeping records of equipment
  • Negotiating and organising services, suppliers, and contracts for the Deaf Development Programme
  • Supervising the work of the guards, cleaners, and the maintenance person
  • Filing administrative documents and keeping personnel files up-to-date
  • Taking meeting minutes and notes as required
  • Keeping records of staff leave
  • Coordinating the selection of annual public holidays for the Deaf Development Programme
  • Managing the meeting rooms reservation process
  • Logistic arrangement for workshop or travel as required
  • Translation of documents as required by the management team
  • Preparing and printing name cards and identification cards for employees
  • Control and management of the office keys for the Deaf Development Programme
  • Other tasks as assigned, and requested, by the Program Manager and Director
  • Bachelor degree in relevant field
  • At least 2 years experience related to administrative or secretarial work
  • Good written and spoken English skills
  • Knowledge of Cambodian Sign Language, or willing to learn
  • Takes initiative and has logical problem solving skills
  • Working experience of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • A positive attitude, professional behavior, strict confidentiality, and willingness to learn
  • Commitment to the Deaf Development Programme’s guiding principles and values
  • Commitment to the Deaf Development Programme’s policies and procedures
