Cinematographer
Duties
- Work under the direction of the Pulse Production Director
- Team up with the production/lighting crew and art director
- Be able to achieve the look for the scenes captured as per the Director’s requirement
- Work with DSLR cameras and different kind of lens, as well as other equipment such as rigs, cranes, and dolly
- Ensure that each scene is captured using the proper lens, filter, and other advanced techniques.
- Be part of a high energy and creative team, and make that extra effort to deliver the best there is
- Ensure the aesthetic quality that is true to the style of a film
- Observes set or location and reviews drawings and other information relating to natural or artificial conditions to determine filming and lighting requirements
- Surveys set or location for potential problems, observes effects of lighting, measures lighting levels, and coordinates necessary changes prior to filming
Requirements
- Education: Bachelors degree
- Knowledge: Strong technical knowledge, as well as being creatively gifted
- Experience: 2 years
- Language: Ability to speak English
- MUST have experience in shooting videos with DSLR cameras, and should have a strong know-how about the accessories that goes with the DSLR camera (Eg. Lens, Rigs, Cranes, Dolly, Jibs)
- Have strong passion for video, and willingness to commit strongly to achieve high quality videos
- Strong problem solving skills: as a film making often requires last minute changes brought on by a range of possible problem such as equipment malfunctions, inclement weather on location or personnel and artistic issues
