Description
	CommunitiWorks, a U.S. based 501c3 organization, is seeking a Director of Community Relations (DCR) to manage its in-country relationships in Cambodia. CommunitiWorks (CW) facilitates a form of microfinance investments in communities, rather than collectives or individuals. Communities receiving investments will, under CW’s guidance, establish a governing authority to evaluate potential projects for microcredit investment, ensure equitable and accurate distribution of those funds, and oversee all investments including repayment timetables and mechanisms. The Cambodian Director of Community Relations will oversee these functions. DIRECTOR OF COMMUNITY RELATIONS ================================ In coordination with CBong Thom dot Com - the premier source for Cambodian job announcementsommunitiWorks U.S. staff and board, the Director of Community Relations will identify suitable communities for establishment of CW’s model. He or she will be responsible for making contacts within these communities, coordinating local leadership of this initiative, including the oversight of community lending and validation of those to whom the community is making its loans; bringing together the necessary resources for community social enhancement efforts; developing local administrative structures for monitoring financial transactions; overseeing repayments; and serving as a liaison between the community and local government, educational and social organizations. Other duties may arise as programs evolve. The DCR will be in constant communication with U.S. staff and, in practice, be the eyes and ears for in-country administration of this new model.
