Reservation Officer
Duties
- To attend and handle all incoming and outgoing room reservation requests, as per the hotel
- To properly use the telephone etiquettes as per Sofitel standards
- To have a perfect knowledge of room types and rate structure
- To ensure the accuracy of all booking information entered in the PMS
- To maintain an accurate Guest History
- To have a perfect knowledge of the hotel configuration and products
- To achieve Quality Tools and Yield Management performance
- To know the competitors and to gather information about their activities and sales
- To provide updated reports and statistics to the Management and other departments
- To follow up availability and rate charts on TARS and other booking systems / channels
- To maintain database for ATACS follow up
- To fulfill administrative tasks and filing
- To properly use and maintain the reservation communication system (telephone, fax, e-mail)
- To maintain appropriate stock level for the smooth run of the reservations operations and to initiate requisitions accordingly
- To be updated with the latest administrative, organizational, operational or other changes and news
- To support reception training in reservation techniques and procedures
- To be flexible and extend job duties to carry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities within the job capability as assigned, including redeployment to alternative departments/areas if required, to meet business demands and guest service needs
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year in the similar position, preferably in the luxury setting
- Establish good public relations with all guests
- Computer skills (e.g. word processing and spreadsheet, Opera System)
- Fluent English Speaking and 2nd language will be highly regarded
- Immaculate grooming & a vibrant personality
- Strong attention to detail

Guest Relation Officer
Duties
- Participate actively in the Front Office activity for all the rooms. Her mission is to reach the best satisfaction from all the guests staying
- GRO has been related for her perfect knowledge of the hotel procedures & standards, and for her guest relations skills. She then has to keep at any time of her duty a strong guest focus and to ensure in all details that each guest staying at the hotel spend the most enjoyable stay possible
- The GRO will take any opportunity to collect the comments & preferences of the guest, or simply to talk freely. The GRO does not always standby at the GRO desk, she will have then many other opportunities to play this "Public Relations" role: in the lobby, in the lounge, in the guests corridors
- Must smiley, willing to help the guest, will ensure a warm greeting with bonjour of any guest arriving and will keep permanently a positive attitude
- The GRO will follow up any of the (professionally acceptable) guest requests such as flight reconfirmation, restaurant booking, recommendations (…) in line with the SSB procedures. If she does not have the answer, she will follow up with the person concerned (Concierge, manager) but will not send the guest to another section
- The GRO will be attentive to respect the privacy/confidentiality of the information, or guest names available. She will ensure not to transmit any guest name, or guest history information
- Ensure all airport pick-ups are being taken care of having a positive attitude toward work
- The Guest Relation Officer is responsible for receiving and escorting all VIP’s and ensuring that they feel comfortable and welcome on their arrival. To meet & assist VIP guest on their departure requirement
- Provide services information to guest that is most accurate and up to date
- Meet and Escort guest from the main entrance to the reception counter for registration
- Show guest up to their rooms and explain the facilities the hotel provides
- Offer to do their flight reconfirmation, changes or new bookings
- Promotes the hotel outlets and offer to make reservations for them
- To be thoroughly conversant with the computer system at the Front Office
- Checks and ensures that all rooms / suites assigned for VIPs are in order and the respective amenities are placed in the room/suites before the guest arrival
Requirements

Senior Chef De Parties
Duties
- Accomplishes transfer forms, spoilage report
- Prepare daily inventory for food supplies for his/ her section
- Responsible for supervising the activities of the cooks in the performance of their jobs during the shift
- Responsible for following consistently the quality standard of food preparation and presentation established for outlets and banquet
- Responsible for proper utilization of energy, fuel, water, gas and other supplies in relation to operation
- Responsible for following cleaning schedule to maintain sanitation and hygiene in his/ her section
- Responsible for ensuring the availability of fresh food supplies and other operating supplies to operate his/ her section in the kitchen during the shift,
- Stores all perishable food supplies and grocery supplies in appropriate condition
- Check quality standard of each plate & buffet platter before dispatching from the kitchen
- Prepare and presentation food items in his section according the section
- Control spoilage and food waste, keeping it to a minimum level
- Inspects all fridges, storage areas and work areas in his section at the start of the shift, during the shift and at the end of shift, to ensure all items are in good condition
- Prepare mis en place according to the occupancy and be all ready on time and ensures availability throughout the shift
- Informs supervisors at the start of the shift for any out of stock items
- Knowledgeable of all menu's and recipes in his section including the ingredients, method of cooking or preparation, and the presentation of the dishes
- Knowledgeable on the basic principles of cooking for both international and local cuisine
- Maintain cleanliness in work areas and storage areas in his/ her section during the shift assigned
- Reads and understands standard recipes
Requirements

Steward Supervisor
Duties
- Takes the daily inventory and requisition of cleaning supplies
- Reports accidents, incidents, breakage and loss to the chief steward at the end of the each shift
- Take part in the monthly operating equipment inventory
- Assist the Chef Steward in controlling on a daily basis the following
- Level of sanitation standard in kitchen areas, equipment, ustensiles and equipment
- Guests & staff satisfaction
- Operating supplies & cleaning supplies expense, payroll and related cost
- Breakage and Loss of equipment
- Responsible for providing functional assistance to the stewarding staff during operations.
- Responsible for providing sufficient equipment which are in accordance to sanitation standards and in good condition, to the outlets and kitchen sections
- Responsible for ensuring sufficient cleaning supplies and equipment to operate the stewarding section
- Responsible for the results in the implementation of the cleaning schedule
- Knows the daily, weekly and monthly cleaning tasks required of the stewarding section
- Supervises and checks the set-up and cleaning of buffet set up for the outlets and banquet functions
- Inspects all areas of the kitchen, canteen, storeroom, fridges etc. for sanitation and working condition, at the start and the end of the shift
- Assists Chef Steward in the implementation of the cleaning schedule
- Supervises and check results of cleaning tasks scheduled during the shift
- Assists with the updating & reviewing of cleaning products, purchase specifications and cleaning methods
- Follows up in operation that established sanitation standards for kitchen areas, equipment and utensils are implemented consistently
- Supervises Ambassador to control and avoid breakage of equipment and wastage of cleaning supplies
- Capable of performing all tasks in the stewarding section
- Capable of operating all the cleaning equipment in stewarding
- Checks the security of operating equipment storeroom daily
