Legal Officer
Duties
- Assisting the firm in the cooperation work with government ministries and businesses
- Being responsible for translation from Khmer into English and vice versa
- Researching the existing laws of Cambodia as assigned by the firm
- Being responsible for all assigned legal work of the firm under direct supervision of the lawyers
- Getting involved in Strategic Planning of the firm and the implementation of all the projects of Vishnu
- Assisting the firm in fund raising activity and drafting reports for the Management Team; and
- Assisting the lawyers prepare the workshops and/or trainings of the firm
Requirements
- Hold a Bachelor’s Degree in English with good knowledge of the law, or hold a Bachelor’s Degree of Law with good knowledge in English
- Have at least two years’ progressive experience in translating legal documents from English into Khmer and vice avers
- Have at least two years’ experience in the legal field, preferably related to Penal Code, Civil Code, Land Law, and Environmental Regulations;
- Have good interpersonal skills and be committed to working in time constraints and under pressures ; and
- Be able to frequently travel to the provinces and/or overseas
