Application Developer

Duties

Application Developers architect, configure, and program on top of the SAP platform to develop customized business applications and web based components for our global clients. These business applications are used to streamline business processes within an international organization, from data entry and access, to business reporting
As a member of the application development team you will need to learn the SAP platform in specific, and Enterprise Resource Planning in general. You will also function as a Quality and Support Engineer for at least the first year, where you will be focused on increasing the quality of developed code configurations and on customer support

Requirements

Graduates in Computer Science or related subjects like Mathematics, Applied Physics
Strong programming skills (including OOP) in Java and/or .NET, and problem solving ability are preferred
Good written English and English reading comprehension
Good knowledge of database access and management is preferred
Commercial project experience is desired
Graduates in Mathematics and Physics are trained in all IT related skills on the job, but need a very high level of abstract analytical skills

IT Internship

Duties

The two careers paths are

Application Developer – Commencing with application testing through application support to development
Infrastructure Engineer – Commencing with desktop support through to server and network maintenance and large system implementations

The speed at which you may progress through the various stages of each career path stream will depend on capability. We expect full-time people to finish the trainee program and become junior Application Developers or Engineers in around 2 years

Requirements

Prospective Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related subjects
Moderate English, especially in reading and writing
Good programming and problem solving ability OR Operating System, Messaging and Network skills
Hard working and of good character
Strong desire and ability to learn
Available to work part-time in mornings or afternoons
Flexible start date to commence work
