Field Officer
Duties
- BUILDING RELATION WITHIN COMMUNITIES
- Build close relationships and actively learn within partner communities, through home visits, staying comnight with host families, attending community social events, etc
- Build good relationships that communicate PNKA’s mission, values and identity to all appropriate stakeholders, including community groups, local authorities and other NGOs
- Actively network with other stakeholders, and facilitate the communities to network, for soft advocacy, resource mobilization and project implementation
- BUILDING CAPACITIES
- Facilitate formation and on-going capacity building of new and existing community organizations for holistic sustainable development, including partnership with PNKA for project implementation where appropriate
- Train partner community groups on appropriate skills and self-assessment methods to build their capacity for management of local initiatives
- Actively participate as an ILRA Team member in all areas, including feedback, reflection and learning
- LEARNING WITHIN COMMUNITY
- Facilitate the community to define monitoring process and indicators for mutual learning and accountability with PNKA in project implementation and capacity building

- Participate in and support the implementation Indicators measurement and program/project evaluation and facilitate community learning from results
- Promote communities to share and learn from their own experiences as part of confidence and capacity building
- LANNING AND IMPLEMENTATION WITH COMMUNITY
- Actively support the Project Coordinator/Executive Director in assessment and design processes and collaborate with ILRA Team in project planning, implementation, monitoring and reporting processes relevant to assigned area that support transformation Development
- Ensure that gender analysis, and child protection are mainstreamed within PNKA initiatives in their assigned communities
- Raise awareness and facilitate critical analysis of community issues and opportunities
- Facilitate visioning and planning processes with community people and within community based groups
- Mobilize local resources, community planning, participation and ownership for development initiatives
Requirements
- Must understand and agree with PNKA’s vision, mission and Core Values
- At least completed bachelor degree of agriculture, rural development, business administration or veterinary field is preferable
- Ability of spoken and written in English
- Preferably has at least two years’ experience in working with poor and rural community
- Must be willing to work and stay overnight at the target village areas
- Must be willing to work within a team and learn new things
- Flexibility, openness and creativity
- Showing a respect for and willingness to learn from community
- Must be able to travel long distances by motor bike
