Program Manager
Duties
- Work together with the Executive Director and Program Coordinator to develop plans, budgets, projects, and proposals
- Supervise the Program Coordinator and provide them technical support and coaching in order to develop their capacities and improve their work productivity
- Monitor and support project implementation
- Assist the Executive Director in developing and implementing a fundraising strategy
- Participate in the Management Committee
- Assist the Executive Director in maintaining communication with donors
- Represent KYSD at events with partner communities, NGOs, government officials, and other stakeholders as required
- Assist in implementation of activities, including organizing training, preparing materials, etc
- Coordinate with KYSD’s partners and other stakeholders
- Other tasks as required
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- Age 25-35
- At least 2 or 3 years work experience, preferably including experience in project management, community facilitation, youth development, report writing, fundraising, project design and management, staff management, and monitoring and evaluation
- Good understanding of decentralization, local governance, the role of civil society, environment, human Rights, law, and social accountability tools
- Ability to motivate and build the capacity of a dynamic team
- Ability to work independently, under pressure and with high level of commitment
- Strong English language and computer skills
- Willingness to travel and ability to work with rural communities
- Good communication and interpersonal skill, including the ability to build and maintain relationships with people from diverse backgrounds
