Duties + Requirements

Nurse-Midwife

Duties

Ensure the provision of ANC and PNC to pregnant & lactating women and newborns detained in CC2 following the national MCHCpackage. To set up STI services for all female detainees in close collaboration with health post staff
To organize a MCH mobile clinic 3 times per week
Liaise with other organizations that give punctual assistance to female pregnant & lactating detainees (e.g.: AMAT, LICADHO, Health Center etc…)
Keep accurate records using national standard forms
Organize and supervise specific food distribution for Pregnant, Lactating and women in Post-delivery period
Gather all the necessary material to conduct gynecologic investigation
Organize the planning of the STI consultation
Keep proper record and compile data for monthly and quarterly reports

Requirements

Holding diploma of secondary midwife
At least 5 years of experience.
Experience in STI and syndromic approach
Proficiency in English (oral, basic)
Proficiency in utilisation of Microsoft Office (word, excel) is an asset
Capacity to communicate with team members – Team work spirit
Diplomacy when taking to authorities
Motivation to work in prison setting 80% of her time
Dedication to vulnerable population
