Duties + Requirements

Information Technology Officer

Duties

Develop, regularly update documentation and maintenance of each individual computer
Ensure appropriate configuration and operation of e-mail and internet, setting of firewalls
Give advice on necessary updates of the network or its components
Monitor and diagnose the network on a daily basis for software / protocol conflicts, error reports and functioning of all software and hardware components (server, switches, router)
Ensure computers are updated with virus definition and perform virus scans on a weekly basis
Ensure server, mail server, ISA server are up-to-date with the latest virus protection
Update the IT Policy
Update information and upload to CWS website
Recommend supervisor on the needs of IT infrastructure, Advise on new hard or software needed to be purchased, define the specifications and assist in the purchases
Ensure that the power supply for each computer and network components is according to security standards
Ensure confidentiality of software systems and files is kept

Requirements

University degree in computer science and engineering or related field
At least 3 years experience in computer maintenance and configuration of e-mail and internet operations within an NGO
Experience in network, database and web design are desirable
Willingness to travel and stay overnight in project locations
Be able to deal with multiple incidents
Proficiency in English and Khmer
Good interpersonal skills
