EGBOK (Everything’s Gonna Be OK) Mission is seeking a full-time Hospitality Coordinator to work in its Siem Reap office. The Hospitality Coordinator will be responsible for all training and content related to the hospitality industry at EGBOK Mission.

EGBOK Mission works with underprivileged youth ages 16-22.  We bring the industry to them through collaborating with various foundations and orphanages.  We introduce an initial three-month course to explore hospitality and professional learning.  For those students who want to continue with the hospitality track, we offer scholarships to attend the best vocational schools in Cambodia.  This includes tuition, housing, living essentials and an array of social services.  Upon graduation, we see employment placement through and monitor progress accordingly.

  Duties
  • Student Development and Case Management
    • Oversee and assist with student transition in the following areas
      • Prepare and assist students to move from home to hospitality school
      • Prepare and assist students to move from hospitality school to employment phase
      • Prepare and assist students to move to a semi-independent lifestyle and accommodation model (this will incorporate all aspects of their life at this stage and not just the accommodation)
      • Prepare and assist students to move to independent lifestyle as an alumni (social and employment support with no financial/accommodation support provided)
    • Monitor individual academic and internship performance throughout the school year
    • Manage and update student files (case notes, incident reports, student contracts)
    • Serve as contact person for students as unforeseen problems arise
    • Support students experiencing emotional or physical distress
    • Form trusting, open relationships with students
    • Conduct group workshops on life skills training
    • Hold one to one student meetings and interviews as needed
    • Assist with student job placement and networking
  • Policy Development and Organizational Capacity Building
    • Create, implement and update policies relating to student needs/issues
    • Implement and update the Behavior Management Strategy (BMS)
    • Facilitate and implement monitoring and evaluation interviews and surveys
    • Network with other social workers in the area
    • Communicate student issues with family and or Community Partner Sites
    • Partake in weekly all-staff conference call with US and Cambodia teams
    • Providing Service Through Service
    • Implement training and provide resources to EGBOK Mission team members relating to Social Work related information (journal articles, professional development opportunities and child protection practices)
    • Assist with other aspects of EGBOK Mission’s programs, as needed
      Requirements
    • Background in social work or related field
    • Fluent in English and Khmer
    • Must be open-minded without any prejudice or discrimination against individuals, including
    • individuals identifying at LGBT
    • Must accept all students as equal and ensure students feel accepted within the program regardless
    • of their background
    • Excellent verbal communication skills
    • Microsoft Office – Word, Excel and PowerPoint
    • Ability to thrive in a multi-cultural work environment
    • Willingness to explore cultural trends to ensure appropriate support is offered (local student/youth
    • culture – what is impacting students outside of their school and accommodation
    • Experience working directly with youth groups and managing case loads
    • Negotiating multiple needs of many students (prioritizing case loads)
